Kenyan Orphans Re-enacted the Larry Bird Steal From Game 5 of the 1987 Celtics – Pistons Series [Video]
This video surfaced last week, so you probably missed it while saving money, eating turkey, watching the spectacular Mark Sanchez assfumble or spending time with your family. What this video is, is a group of Kenyan orphans reenacting the famous “There’s a steal by Bird!” play from Game 5 of the 1987 Celtics – Pistons game. Amazingly, there is even a kid holding a sign that says “Future Sports Guy” as a nod to Bill Simmons being shown on camera during the game. This alone makes me wonder if Grantland is sponsoring a Kenyan Orphanage for the sole purpose of recreating famous sports clips or entire games. This would automatically make Grantland worthwhile.

They’re doing this to get noticed to get funding for athletic fields in Kenya.
