All, ESPN, Media Gossip/Musings, Video November 26th. 2012, 11:23am
This happened over Thanksgiving break, so you may have missed it. We don’t have video of Palmer doing the horns down signal (screen cap below)
, but here’s Rece Davis leading Palmer into an apology. The Longhorn Network will hold this against Jesse Palmer forever.
Reminder: ESPN let Stephen A. Smith get away with dropping an N-bomb on First Take in October, and just brushed it aside.

You’ve been left on your own…LIKE A RAINBOW!!!
And can someone explain to me why this is offensive/insulting/an issue?

He had to apologize because of his complexion.

Doesn’t ESPN have some policy about announcers indicating support of a team or some shit like that? For some reason I’m remembering things like this happening before.

because it means you’re against Texas, and therefore not objective, I think. But if you put them up, you’re celebrating college football and its grandeur, not expressing a pro-Texas (and therefore anti-whoever they’re playing) sentiment.
Also, because UT fans are sissies with extremely hurtable feelings.

he shoulda just send he did the shocker incorrectly and that he gestures too quickly at times, as that is common to people from his geographic home.

Since in Texas football is more than a game, it’s a religion, then Palmer was committing a hate crime. That’s it, huh?

Take that back! My feelings are hurt.

Got it, thanks…I think.

If I had to guess, I’d say instagramming pictures of his daughter.

Leave Miggy alone. I want to meet the college football fan who isn’t whiny and sensitive when people go after their team.

I was more offended by the play of the Longhorns. I laid the pts, -7.5 and they sucked left-hind teet. Will bet against the Horns in the Bowl Game for justice.
/will prob lose that bet

Kudos to Jesse Palmer for apologizing for the horns down. People don’t show respect anymore, that’s why Columbine happened.

Someone should explain the Streisand Effect to Texas fans. This used to just be something OU fans did to be dumb at the Red River Rivalry game. Now you’re going to have people dressing as upside down horns for Halloween.

Wow it was like he said a racial slur. People down there must take their sports very seriously sheesh.
