Jared Allen Is Going to Get a Big Fine For This Helmet to Helmet Hit on Lance Louis
Jared Allen blew up Lance Louis with this block during an interception return by Minnesota. Allen goes airborne and launches his helmet into Louis’ helmet, knocking the lineman for Chicago out. Louis is out for the game with what is being called a knee injury. I suspect Allen may be getting a call from the commissioner’s office on this one.

Weird, what if Jared Allen is actually a huge asshole?

Is shoulder to helmet a fine-able offense?

looks like a legal hit to me, albeit dirty as hell. Allen should watch himself next week

Better or worse than the Sapp/Clifton hit?

Sapp never got fined for it (I believe), as oz said, it is a very dirty without question. But in some respect and interception turns a play into special teams type return where this happens all the time if a player is ready for it, but lineman (and some others) are never on the field for most of those so completely unprepared to deal with it.
Though it is exciting to watch a big hit.
