Ohio State Beats Michigan 26-21, Finishes Perfect 12-0 Season
Ohio State’s defense capitalized on Michigan miscues. The offense scraped two field goals. The Buckeyes beat rival Michigan 26-21 to preserve a perfect 12-0 season. Great call to play in the Gator Bowl last year. Game ball goes to Carlos Hyde, who ran for 146 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries and converted the crucial third and seven to ice the game. We won’t offer you any highlights from the second half, because no one needs to see that half of football again. It was a fitting summation of a dreadful Big Ten season.
After three Michigan touchdown drives of longer than 70 yards in the first half, the Wolverines gained 33 yards total in the second half. Michigan, sans the 67 yard Denard Robinson run, averaged 1.6 yards per carry on the ground. Eleven of the first 15 plays in the second half were designed runs. Al Borges was trending nationally on twitter. That’s never good.
This was not a 12-0 caliber Ohio State team, but it certainly had a 12-0 caliber coach.

Agreed. And Michigan is more of a 6-6 team than a 8-4 one.

“Yes, this monumental game deserved 5 posts about it” said no one.

12-0 is 12-0. I know this breaks the hearts of the Buckeye haters, but they knocked down everyone in front of them. This is a very very good, but not great, team. The guy that rated the Top 25 college coaches and didn’t include Meyer is a fool.

Who the hell is this? He probably had John L. Smith in his top 10.

More like they played in a 12-0 caliber conference. Any of the top 13 would have done the same.

I’m thrilled with the win. Still should’ve been 45-21.

Yeah we totally paid too much attention to that football game between two of the biggest programs in the country when there was NOTHING else going on. Not enough UCF vs. UAB coverage for you?

Nice year by OSU, they needed some luck, but every undefeated team does.
It would be impossible to count the number of times duffy referred to Michigan’s “momentum” and how they are going to be back any day now. Nothing says momentum 1 win over an above .500 team (NW).

Just read that OSU had around 40 high school recruits from 2013 and 2014 classes there today. DAMN.

This post needs more .gifs to be real. I think a post showing a nice screen pass from this game should be here. Not one game, NONE, needs this many separate posts. One would be enough. You know, to put all the comments in one place. Even though no one reads the comments…

Was listening to the radio on my way to the store for booze. Crying Michigan fan is the best. “Only reason Michigan lost was because OSU cheated.” “Urban Meyer is classless.” “Brady doesn’t have his guys yet” or “Why didn’t they do what they did against Iowa!”

OSU flat out whooped Michigan. 2 big play and a turnover inside the 30 led to 21 UM points. 2nd half told the tail – OSU’s just better. If tOSU coaches realize that the I back (Hyde) should touch it 2-3x inside the 5, this would’ve been a 24 point blowout.
