Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys: Washington is 0-6 All-Time Against Cowboys on Thanksgiving
Washington has never won in Dallas on Thanksgiving, in six previous attempts. The most notable, of course, was the famous Clint Longley game in 1974, when the backup came off the bench to throw for 200 yards and two touchdowns in the second half, including the late game winner to Drew Pearson to bring the Cowboys back from a 16-3 deficit.
The last time these teams played on Thanksgiving was in 2002. The quarterbacks that day were Chad Hutchinson and Danny Wuerffel. Hey, another Heisman Trophy winner this year for Washington. Pretty much the same thing.
Dallas struggled last week with Cleveland for much of the game. The offensive line is a mess, and the running game is virtually non-existent. Felix Jones is dinged up, DeMarco Murray is still out, so it may come down to Lance Dunbar to have his Clint Longley moment in this series.
Meanwhile, Robert Griffin III is coming off a 14 for 15 performance against the Eagles. He’s back within 80 miles of where he played in college for Baylor. We await a highlight moment. With the Cowboys involved, we can also probably be sure that the last five minutes will be exciting, even if the previous 55 were not always the most beautiful.
This shapes up as an elimination game between the 5-5 Cowboys and the 4-6 Redskins. It will probably take 10 wins, and certainly no fewer than 9 and a tiebreaker, to get into the postseason.

The Lions did get fucked hard by the refs. HOWEVER, they had every opportunity to win that game despite the horrible calls. Terrible coaching and execution. Stafford made some great throws. But was still way too inconsistent. Late in the 4th and in OT ignoring Calvin except for one shitty pass? FAIL HILLBILLY FAIL. Fire Schwartz and Linehan. 3rd and long in FG range TWICE late in the game. RUN THE BALL. Nope, they pass and get sacked out of FG range TWICE. Pettigrew and Avril should be cut immediately. Fuck this team. I’m praying for 4-12 and Jarvis Jones or Werner.

DAL def looks poor, more so than the whole year. Can’t believe a rookie QB coming to town on thanksgiving is doing this to them. Talk shows/radio will have field day with this

no doubt, but they’re playing some very bad players. Peprah and Sims were in street clothes less than a month ago. Crawford is a situational player on DLine, and Bass was a PS Dlineman until this week.
And that’s really just the beginning of it.

So much for that easy remaining schedule.

If Shanahan just calls run plays instead of having Griffin just chuck it into triple coverage this game is already over. Nfl coaches are stunningly terrible with time management.
