Those non-football schools really need to get out of the Big East ASAP.

They’re the ones that killed it. When Providence and Georgetown have the same say as Syracuse and Rutgers, despite being worth about 1/10th to TV, you’re setting your conference u for failure.

The Big Ten hierarchy would have loved for Wisconsin to defeat Ohio State in Madison on Saturday afternoon, but it didn’t get its wish. Instead, the Badgers fell in overtime, meaning it’s possible that the division’s third best team will be in Indianapolis in two weeks to play either Nebraska or Michigan, who are both playing real well. Naturally, the Leaders has been watered down by the ineligibility of the Buckeyes and Penn State, but the four eligible members have missed their marks as well. In fact, if Purdue loses to Indiana on Saturday, the division will send only Wisconsin to the postseason this year.

No apologies necessary. I agree that Pitt was better off going to the B1G. I have no excitement over Miami repeatedly beating Pitt like the old Big East days. ACC football sucks for now, but there is still potential for some good programs to establish themselves but no one has nay patience.

Makes it all the more confusing Pitt went to the ACC. Think they’d have been a decent fit in the B1G. I’m not sure occasionally finishing 2nd in the Atlantic/Coastal whatever division the ACC is any better than finishing 4th sometimes 3rd in a B1G division. The only ACC advantage is recruiting supposedly, but the whole move pissed me off from the start.
