Aaron Rodgers Hung Out With a 10-Year Old Cancer Survivor
Maggie is a 10-year old Packers fan. When she was 6-weeks old she was diagnosed with a tumor. Today Maggie is a normal, healthy kid. The MACC Fund has teamed up with Aaron Rodgers and sent the Packers’ QB out to visit one of his biggest little fans. I don’t care who is paying for this or if an athlete does this for no other reason than good publicity – these stories are never not awesome. Good for Rodgers, but this great for Maggie and her extremely lucky family.

Really? I would think doing this for publicity makes it quite not awesome.

Not saying Rodgers did this for publicity. From everything I have ever read or heard, Rodgers is a pretty nice guy. Just saying if an athlete did this pretty much for publicity, it isnt really that awesome, its kind of a douche move to use a kid for publicity.

Doesn’t matter. Kid still had a cool time.
Aaron needs to slow the tempo on his Heart and Soul. Maggie couldn’t keep up.
/nice that he got mom and dad to bend the rules on the trampoline

Almost 10 years…move on! Little girl is living in the past! Who lets their 10 year old answer the door!?
/would have loved it if she said he looked smaller in person
//I love Rodgers, hate the Packers…He seems like a good dude…the cool older brother QB to all these spaz little brother QBs in the NFC north..Jay and Stafford, I am looking in your direction.

I agree. I also really wish I weren’t about to bring up Tebow unprovoked, but it seems like despite obviously having a pretty good PR staff, there are never any stories like this with him. Probably because he’s a gigantic fuckhead.
/ going home

Well in this case she was a girl, but even if she was a boy he wouldn’t be able to help since most are circumcised by that age.

Nice story, but how cool would it have been if Maggie answered the door and said “Man, you’re not nearly as tall as you look on TV.”
November 19th, 2012 at 7:23 PM
Pretty sure the parents knew who was at the door, but Maggie didn’t.
