Why is this not getting more traction? It is amazing how many schools get put on probation and how the media scandalizes football players because one or two players get some goofy benefit they are not allowed … But, academic scandal? Meh …

Ridiculous how hypocritical the NCAA is. Roy and UNC (football & basketball) should get hit for this if they are really about what the NCAA claims – student athletes.

I could not stand Roy at KU and he hasn’t changed much at UNC – if anything his arrogance and pompous demeanor has grown worse (esp. after two titles). And, it shines through quite well in all this.

When I was at Kansas, Jeff Boschee was in my calculus class. The professor often joked about how Jeff was an A student even though he didn’t go to a single class after the first day. Kansas also barred the use of any calculators on their main exam… which was total rubbish.

Man, you think this is bad–look into what Roy did at KU. And how Self has continued it. Scary shit. Ineligible? Just move to Lawrence, one of our high schools will make sure you stay eligible. Your HS team had to forfeit ALL VICTORIES because of grade changing that KU knew about? No worries. Under the rug. Brandon Rush can’t qualify AT A SINGLE D1 SCHOOL? HAS A 0.0 HS GPA? MISSES THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF CLASSES AT KU? Nice. 3.6 GPA at KU. Roy learned it at KU, and has taken it with him.

As tightly controlled as upper-echelon D-1 programs are, I find this hard to believe. Players having choices that could jeopardize eligibility? Get outta here with that nonsense.
