No it isn’t. The guy was warned that Nuchy was coming after him. He didn’t know to know the exact how, where and when. Knowing it was coming is enough to put him on alert. A guy like that doesn’t go anywhere without guys with him.

It was a generic statement and the writers included no mention of when, where or from whom Luciano and Lanksy would have gotten the exact information. The way the subsequent scenes unrolled, especially when Luciano and Lansky meet with Rosetti’s boss at the bocci ball courts gives the impression that they knew the exact details and were whispering them into his ear. But when and how did they become privy to them? If that’s not a plot hole then it’s still lazy writing. And this show is supposed to be better than that.

Is this where we talk about the huge plot hole in tonight’s Boardwalk Empire? This show is starting to piss me off.
Gave up on this season a couple episodes in.

I remember when this show was just barely living up to the hype in the first season. how they have fallen.

Ritty there was no explanation of how Lansky and Luciano knew Nucky’s plan to send Sleator to kill Rosetti’s boss. Rothstein only says that he knows Nucky is going to make a move but he never says in the scene that he knows Nucky’x plan and there is no indication that Nucky shared his plan with Rothstein–why would he? Rothstein washed his hands of Nucky in the previous episode. So there is no link between Nucky’s plan and Lansky and Lucisni tipping off Rosetti’s boss to Sleator getting killed and his body delivered to Nucky. That’s a plot hole if there ever was one. Maybe the link will be explained later but if so that is pretty arrogant writing.
