Saturday Night Football: Stanford at Oregon
Oregon derailed a Stanford title run at the Farm last year. Stanford will try to do the same to Oregon this year. The real debate, though, may be whether Oregon can cover.
Arguments for Oregon: Oregon dropped 105 points on Stanford the past two seasons. The gap between the two has widened. Stanford can’t match up with Oregon’s speed on defense. They got torched by a poor man’s Oregon, Arizona, earlier this year. The Ducks have a solid defense and create turnovers. Stanford’s offense has been pedestrian at best.
Arguments for Stanford: Rushing defense. Stanford leads the nation, allowing just 2.02 yards per carry. The Cardinal have allowed 50 yards rushing in their last four games. Combined. This is due to a physical defensive front and underrated linebackers. They also have Stepfan Taylor and their running game, facing a decimated Oregon front line.
Required Reading: Chip Kelly’s offense has a lot of old school in it. This guy thinks Kelly is not ready for the NFL. Hasn’t quite mastered the art of meaningless field goals?

Stanford dominating. Two failed 4th downs for Oregon.
KSU is unwatchable, they have no athletes at all. Complete and total fraud, reminiscent of 2007 Missou/WVU being 1/2 with a week to go.

Go Baylor. Still hoping for an Oregon – Bama title game.

So we get to watch a crappy bama team in the nc game again.
Fuck that. I’m just gonna quit watching.

Roll Tide?
November 17th, 2012 at 11:37 PM
wow
mariota made some bad decisions on the final drive in regulation (and got an extra chance with the BS interference call) and in overtime
fucking notre dame is the new #1.
go usc

No guarantee alabama will leap Oregon. Love how Brent and Kirk mocked the SEC top teams for all playing cupcakes today instead of playing real competition
November 17th, 2012 at 11:42 PM
Way to go notre dame! Beat terrible ACC teams! Congrats!
November 17th, 2012 at 11:42 PM
Oh crying Oregon fans your tears taste so sweet. Fuck you Gene Smith.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:44 PM
Yes! Build ND up to #1 just to tear them down!!!
November 17th, 2012 at 11:47 PM
Nick Saban backdoors his way to another title.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:48 PM
Im no historian but is this the weakest top 10 in long time? Or the one with the most parity?
November 17th, 2012 at 11:50 PM
ND’s a very good team. I thought 9-3 was the best they could possibly due with that schedule. Luckiest fucking team in the land though this year. They’ll beat USC and end up playing Bama or Georgia in the NC.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:50 PM
Oregon/K-State wouldve been the least attractive BCS matchup of all time. There was no way it was going to be allowed to happen (see Missouri-WVU 2007).
November 17th, 2012 at 11:53 PM
So the fix was in redick?
November 17th, 2012 at 11:58 PM
k-state/anybody would have been the worst
right now it would be notre dame / alabama or georgia?
depending on who wins the sec title game
November 18th, 2012 at 12:00 AM
vlad beat me to it
November 18th, 2012 at 12:02 AM
If UGA wins the sec title game and oregon wins the pac 12, it would be oregon ND. If bama wins, theyll get the push
November 18th, 2012 at 12:25 AM
Fuck Oregon. Frauds!!!! 14 points to the offense some morons were saying could put up a bunch on an NFL team.
Chip Kelly is becoming the new Stoops.
