The Group of 5 is lucky the conference commissioners had some sympathy. There is really no financial reasoning why they let them get an automatic spot. They are most definitely the kids table.

If FSU loses the ACCCG, the B1G participant in this year’s BCS will look like a juggernaut in comparison to the ACC champ.

It’s crazy to think the ACC could either have two BCS teams or a 7-6 one.

No CFB fan wants to see the winner of the Sun Belt having any sort of shot at a national championship, because that would be absolute bullshit.

Even if it is eight teams, I don’t conference champs should mean anything. Eight best teams period. The Big 10 champ would not deserve a seat at the table*.

*At this time. A lot of football left to play.

I seriously don’t understand the issue. They guaranteed that the majority of teams involved would be good. They kept out shitty teams from the tiny conferences and limited the Big East involvement by using them as a buffer against said tiny conferences. No CFB fan wants to see the winner of the Sun Belt having any sort of shot at a national championship, because that would be absolute bullshit.
