Jim Nantz Now Lives on the Pebble Beach Golf Course
Jim Nantz, the CBS announcer who will call the Super Bowl, Masters and Final Four in early 2013, gave a Q &A with the Charlotte Observer, and this was the most interesting thing he said:
Q. Is it true you live at Pebble Beach Golf Links?
I moved to Pebble Beach full time this year. I’m looking at the seventh green right now. It’s all beautiful. We got married June 9 and we moved in that very night.
Q. You got married in June on the famous seventh hole there. Why did you pick that spot?
In the book I wrote, “Always By My Side,” I wrote a couple of pages about how the seventh hole was such a spiritual setting to me and I always felt my father’s presence there. Every day during the years we covered the Pebble Beach golf tournament, I would march out there before the sun was up and sit on the rail fence there in prayerful introspection and think about all the blessings in my life.

He must have owned the house for a some years. I don’t see any sales in the last three years on the Links side of 17-Mile drive that would have a view of #7.
/Tried to get you some pics

I suppose a 2nd story could see the 7th from this place…but I wouldn’t call this living at Pebble Beach Golf Links…unless Jim was just too classy to correct the interviewer.

I got nothing against Nantz. It’s PHIL SEEEEEMS that I wish would go away forever.

It would be cool if Nantz had a vacation home in Nantes.

Nantz is a polarizing figure
Completely inaccurate. He’s affable and doesn’t hog the mic. Some people don’t like his tone for Augusta, that’s about it. Go read his book about his dad if you have any quarrels about Jim. It really puts into effect some personal struggles he had a few years ago. He’s been back in high form of late.

Just don’t see this either. Nantz has long been a class act – since the days of Phi-Slamma-Jamma and as a roomie to Freddy.
He does very well at everything. I especially like his golf coverage – and think he’s solid on football. I also think he does a great job with NCAA B-ball but the one thing I would have liked to see is Jim bumped up to the host and let the Greatest PBP announcer going do the FF. Unfortunately, there’s a tension there. But, I find Nantz very likable.

I like Nantz, and he can live in the middle of MSG if he wants. But why can’t he get a suit that fits? wtf look at that collar…not tailored anywhere. What a mess
