Speaking of La Tech they still have a shot to get into the top 16 and crash the BCS. They have a lot of outs if they can get there. An upset in the ACC title game, Wisconsin in the Big 10 or the Big East winner being behind them (currently Rutgers is one spot behind in the polls.)

If you were not aware, the SEC’s stretch of six titles including three teams running some version of a hurry up offense. So, yes, the SEC is actually quite aware that this offense works.

This is “the SEC,” the baddest damn conference in the land. Texas A&M just joined with a mediocre track record. The Aggies just knocked off the conference’s best team on the road and did it by raising the tempo and running the freaking Air Raid (paging Sonny Dykes). This discredits the entire Gospel According to Nick. SEC coaches, fans and pundits will whine about how this is cheap, gimmicky, unfair and not “football.” They will sound just like the Big Ten did about ten years ago.

They have a charismatic coach, who happens to be African-American.

What the hell does that matter? He’s a great coach that happens to have the most exciting player in college football in the last 30 years. Lets see if he can sustain this kinda of success moving forward. Texas will still get pick of best in that state.
