Not having them serves no benefit. The gamesmanship over controlling information is unbecoming and silly. Gary Patterson has termed this the “Custer” portion of the schedule. The 6-3 Horned Frogs close with Kansas State, Texas and Oklahoma. Could this first season in the Big 12 be Patterson’s last?

Mississippi State at LSU: Both teams are playing for a possible BCS bowl bid, though that may be a more realistic prospect for LSU. The Bulldogs have not won in Baton Rouge since 1991. This may come down to whether LSU has a let down after the Alabama loss or comes out to avenge it. It’s the 10th anniversary of The Bluegrass Miracle.
