yup, that was me. Saw them in Philly. Limp Bizkit was the surprise performer that day for me. Fred Durst had a body double on stage performing while he went through the Vet to the home dugout, then walked through the crowd while performing back to the stage. he walked 5 feet from me. knew how to work a crowd when you have shitty songs to perform.

i prefer the pacific only b/c i am more fascinated with that theatre of the war than i was with Europe. My grandfather fought on Iwo Jima, never spoke about it.

through research i’ve found he served in the same division and company as John Basilone and may have done his training with him. and now i live one town over from Basilone’s hometown. small world. sort of.
