Certain words get caught up in the filter. I’d tell you what they are but then you wouldn’t be able to read the comment. Suffice to say one of them is the action of blood letting, another one is related to a type of political system that falls just short of communism. And referring to a person from Mexico by their demonym used to be one of the words and it might still be. Can’t recall.

Perhaps if Republicans would like to attract black voters they could adopt a less harsh tone towards the whole concept of entitlement programs and finally realize that black people are by and large loyal to the Democrat Party because it passed the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act over small-government Republicans in the House and Senate. Based on that you can forgive blacks for being leery of any Republican talking about shrinking the size of government.

I love the idea that somehow minorities are still at “fault” for Obama winning in 08 and 12. And O’Reilly was HILARIOUS spinning this as somehow whites are now the minority in the country. Obama still needed white folks to vote for him, otherwise he’d have been blown out both times. Rather than try and do more to reach out to minority voters, some in the GOP seem content to keep on scapgoating them.

GE said it did not disclose its taxes on a country-by-country basis, then turned around and said, oh, yeah, we paid $1 billion in taxes in the U.S. Which I called doublespeak.

They do no legally disclose that data in its financial filings. It is not public information.

However … when the NYT is running hit pieces on the company suggesting they don’t pay income taxes, and when asked by journalists to refute the “story”, they provided (or, as you say, “turned around”) the $1b figure in response to the allegations.

White food stamp enrollment makes up 49% of the program, though they make up 72% of the U.S. population.

Black + Hispanic food stamp enrollment makes up 46% of the program, though they make up 29% of the U.S. population.

The White/Black unemployment ratio never changes, whether it be during the time of a recession or an economic boom. Why this exists can be a different discussion on it’s own. But to blame something that has always existed on Obama’s policies exposes you.

The quote I posted — and the point I was making — is that GE said it did not disclose its taxes on a country-by-country basis, then turned around and said, oh, yeah, we paid $1 billion in taxes in the U.S. Which I called doublespeak.
You somehow misinterpreted that as me implying GE did not know what its taxes were on a country-by-country basis. Which I never said, or implied.
