David Simon –
I like David Simon as an author, but that statement is just plain delusional.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:33 AM
Some of those videos look very similar.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:36 AM
I sit corrected.
Why is it only hippies and fatties that like to get naked?
November 9th, 2012 at 8:37 AM
Switzerland had to ban nude hiking to get the Krauts to stop marching the Alps free balling, get some fucking lederhosen on Klaus you cunt.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:38 AM
Boomer Esiason probably says that same canned bullshit about every young QB because he doesn’t make the mental and physical commitment to being a competent football analyst.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:40 AM
I think it is because when a hot chick gets naked she expects to be paid.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:42 AM
Not sure if serious.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:43 AM
That CBS news article about Romney being shell shocked was good for a laugh. Thanks for putting that in the roundup. It wasn’t that he lost that amused me, it’s that they were so genuinely shocked that they lost. I get it, you don’t run for anything expecting to lose but you have a 50-50 chance so it shouldn’t come as a total surprise if and when it happens.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:44 AM
That cameraman was right on that shit.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:45 AM
i dunno about that…they had a reputation as being cowboys since almost their inception. only within the past few years has their reputation of the highest level of professionalism been forged under mcraven…but even as recently as 2003, they were being criticized for not being mission ready in afghanistan and there was an incident where a team of devgru guys went on a shooty joyride that got one of em shot at a security checkpoint.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:46 AM
No matter what you think of his politics or his upbringing, the guy has achieved things and is probably not too used to the notion of failure.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
Stars Wars getting treatment from Hunger Games writer
He’s a very very good & versatile writer. Guild rules prohibit this from being expressed by him, but I’d venture he already had the entire concept developed and pitched and the viability of the purchase. You cant do dumbshit like greenlighting indy 4 then get committed to dates and then just running with a brutal screnplay.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:47 AM
Epic battle between Ron Swanson and Mike Ehrmantraut on Parks last night. Awesome.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:49 AM
He would have sacrificed his first born to get odds as good as 50-50.
Read this morning that all of a sudden, Hannity and Bohner are in favor of immigration reform. After a decade of demonizing immigration reform as amnesty, they’re all of a sudden for it simply because they hope it will keep them from losing another election.
That said, even though the rationale is pathetic, its good that this is going to happen.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
that was hideous.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:50 AM
Agreed. And I’d love to see Brad Bird behind the lens.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
Mitt Romney was “shellshocked” by his defeat
One time I lost a poker hand runner-runner in Vegas two places before the tourney payout. So I can relate.
/not really
November 9th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
It’s two days early, but happy Veterans Day.
Dang. Welcome back to the real world.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:52 AM
Where do I know that guy from? He looked familiar
November 9th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
Fair enough.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
Time magazine had an incredibly interesting piece about how Obama had a massive data mining operation that allowed them to track voter patterns and simulate up to 60,000 elections a day. His organization is stunning in its efficiency and made all the difference in the world on election day.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:53 AM
breaking bad.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:54 AM
Breaking Bad
November 9th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
i have completely punted thursday night NBC in favor of football. am I alone?
November 9th, 2012 at 8:56 AM
Agreed. And I’d love to see Brad Bird behind the lens.
Had this discussion last night with the wife. Love Brad Bird, just think he’s not right, but what do I know? Iron Giant was awesome.
November 9th, 2012 at 8:57 AM
Queefer in terms of that campaign story, there was an old 60 Minutes on Karl Rove if you can find it its great. There’s been plenty said about his meltdown on election night (I’m still not convinced it wasn’t him playing a part).
November 9th, 2012 at 8:59 AM
My only concern is that he’s only done animation/Pixar and has never done live action. However considering how much CGI was in the prequels, it wouldn’t be a bad choice.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
I either DVR or catch up with Thursday night programming through on-demand.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:00 AM
He has a fantastic eye for composition, cares about character and story, and showed he could helm a big-budget intelligent action tentpole with MI:4, which was the best movie of the franchise. If I’m Disney — with whom Bird already has an outstanding relationship — there’s no one higher on my list outside of Spielberg.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:01 AM
I know I said that writer as good, but I still expect the Star Wars movies to suck. Prepare to be disappointed. There’s about two directors I’d think were capable of executing the film and one of them probably wouldn’t even want special fx.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:04 AM
Cuaron?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
you really think wes anderson would do star wars right? interesting…
November 9th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
I have hope now that Lucas will not be directly involved. My 6 year old and I watch the Clone Wars cartoons and they are actually kind of entertaining if you grew up liking Star Wars. So, that gives me hope that there is good stuff to mine there, story-wise.
When I watch the prequel movies with my kid, I arrive at a couple of conclusions: 1.) They weren’t written with 40 YO me in mind; 2.) I think Lucas would rather just do an entire movie in CGI rather than deal with actors and story.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:05 AM
Depends on the game. Wasn’t really all that interested in seeing the Colts and Jags. Now if it was say Bears vs Packers I’d definitely watch that.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
HW Bush in 88 and Romney in 12 both received the same percentage of the White vote. Bush finished with over 400 electoral votes. Romney finished with half that amount. Do the math.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
fantasy or recreational wager will change that, for some.
Luck scored 19 for me last night. started him over stafford
November 9th, 2012 at 9:07 AM
So tired of the Colts. Never doubt the inspiring power of only having to play four decent teams all season.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:08 AM
But I dont even watch that show. Hmm.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:09 AM
Aronfosky…which would never happen, but could be interesting.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:10 AM
Brad Bird would be an amazing director for Star Wars.
The man is a cartoon directing legend, and that’s what it will be.
Rich Moore would be his AD, I would bet anything on it.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
I switched between the game and NBC, neither one really held my interest… I punted them both at 10 to watch Always Sunny
November 9th, 2012 at 9:11 AM
Also if Hollywood was so gay for Kevin Smith to write Superman, there’s absolutely no reason that Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer shouldn’t write the new Star Wars movies.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
My list:
Brad Bird
Steven Speilberg
Alfonso Cuaron
Rian Johnson
Duncan Jones
Darren Aronofsky
November 9th, 2012 at 9:12 AM
Nolan 1, Aronfosky 2.
phillymantis gets the win.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
True that. Wasn’t even considering that aspect of it. But thanks to things like DVR it really isn’t an issue. I can’t DVR sports because I have no self control to not look up the scores so I just don’t even bother.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
Smart man.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:13 AM
The oral history of the 1980s Houston Rockets.
this is such an awesome read, especially if you lived in houston during that time. anything related to houston from 80-94 is fascinating to me.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Left wing pundits are all clueless: 1. Romney got 3 mil fewer Repub votes than John fucking McCain. 2. Obama got 10 million fewer votes then he did 4 years ago. 3.71% hispanics voted Democrat. Conclusions: 1.Immigration not the reason hispanics vote democrat, they vote Democrat same reason others do: free stuff. 2. Going more moderate will not help us it turns off the base(especially Evangelicals) and we can’t promise more free stuff than Dems or claim to be party of abortion, legalized drugs, food stamps, etc. 3. We’re screwed unless Obama continues to run country into the ground and 4 years from voters say the hell with it let’s give the other party a shot.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Sunny was an all timer last night I think… just the right amount of uncomfortable and absurd.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:14 AM
Not shocking that Azkaban was far and away the best Potter movie.
How long until Peter Jackson gets offered the job? Two weeks?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:15 AM
I read someplace yesterday that he already had a 60-page treatment written up. I have no clue if that’s accurate or not. I think it was at newsarama.com.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
God damn Democrats, when do I get my free stuff? Havent even gotten a gift bag yet.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:16 AM
He has a lifetime contract with Time Warner (not sure on that), I don’t think he’s gonna be going over to Disney.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
I really think its Bird or Speilberg. Doubt Speilberg will be interested. Bird has a sterling track record, tons of Disney connections through Pixar, knows Arndt and would go over well with fans if hired.
I doubt Jackson would be able to commit.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
Considering the entire Star Wars saga has more accurate science in it than The Dark Knight Rises, I think Star Wars is a bit too smart of a movie for him.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:17 AM
you really think wes anderson would do star wars right? interesting…
Jason Schwartzman as Luke Skywalker, that’s obvious how he casts it.
Gene Hackman as Obi Wan
G. Paltrow as Leia
Bill Murray as Han Solo
The Wilson brothers as Wookies.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:18 AM
Please continue to force this mentality into the highest echelons of Republican power. Really helps Dems come election time.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:19 AM
Spielberg would be an unmitigated disaster. Still cannot fathom how Lincoln is getting the reviews it is, unless it’s a case of the least interesting trailers of all time being horribly cut.
/I guess Amistad was too black for him so he had to go back to the historical well
November 9th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
Every shot in Westar Wars will carry yellow tints and be perfectly symmetrical.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:20 AM
Good to hear. I DVR’d it.
I did not like the episode involving the wedding. Can’t remember if that was last week or two weeks ago. It was a bit too weird and not funny enough IMO.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
for the most part, star wars sucks.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
oh i know the nolan thing would never happen. I’d rather him do his own shit anyway. I’m just saying if he was the director he’d do it best IMO.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
The trailer reeks of War Horse II, but apparently its more of a small-scale procedural/courtroom drama with incredible performances than it is a massive full-scope Lincoln love letter.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:21 AM
The only thing I’ve seen that Arndt did was Toy Story 3 and considering how dark that movie was I think he would be a good choice.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
Honestly, what about the Wachowskis?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
Just started reading No Easy Day, autobio of a seal who was in the bin laden raid
November 9th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
It absolutely does. Because for the most part, George Lucas has had his hands all over it. Where it has been removed from him – Empire and the extended universe – it has been awesome. Lucas is a blight on humanity.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:22 AM
Little Miss Sunshine?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
You only get free stuff if you use your Obamaphone to take a picture of the straight Dem ticket you voted for, and then send that to ACORN.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
All of this. Speilberg should stay away from Star Wars. And Lincoln looks boring as shit. I have zero interest in seeing that.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
How about I stab myself in the eyes?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:23 AM
didn’t line in houston, but also found it fascinating. that oral history thing is a good series over there. Loved Hakeem walking into the Garden with all of the playoff energy in the air and just saying “What a dump”. Grew up a huge UVa fan with Ralph SAmpson. I think he would have been well suited for today’s game with mobile big men.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
CJ have you been keeping track of people’s politics on your tracker? this election season is a good time to make sure the TBL Commenter Spreadsheet is updated with all the pinkos. I unlocked it on SharePoint so you can make the updates.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
Fuck Star Wars. When is Warner Brothers going to announce the director of Justice League?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:24 AM
Yeah I could see Disney going for a transgender director with a “no press” clause in their contract.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
My interest lies with wanting to see probably the best actor alive play Abraham Lincoln. That’s really it.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:25 AM
I know it’s an incredible movie but I refuse to watch anything with Steve Carrell.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
Whoa whoa whoa they cast Keith David as Lincoln?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:26 AM
No crazier than thinking Nolan steps behind the lens.
I think they’d bring a dark look and incredible visuals to the franchise. No chance they’d ever get hired, but in a perfect world they’d be on my list.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:27 AM
DDL is amazing, no doubt. But this is a movie I can wait for until it hits HBO.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
Yeah, if I head to the theater this weekend its for Skyfall, not Lincoln.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
Only got half way through it. It was so bad I couldn’t finish. Go ahead people, judge me.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
Keith David chewed up the scenery in “Stomp the Yard 2″.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:28 AM
I dont think Ive ever voted a straight Dem ticket. Shit. And my Gary Johnson vote this year probably got me on the permanent banned list.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:29 AM
Hey white lady. Back of the line.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:29 AM
Daniel Day Lewis is zombie hunting, right?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:29 AM
Keep running with that. This is very similar to the 80′s, where after losing 3 elections in a row, the Democrats had to make the decision of moving away from it’s liberal base and more to the center with Clinton. The road map is there for the Repubs, it’s just a matter of whether they’re smart enough to see it. The real problem with the Pubs was highlighted on Morning Joe this morning by that noted liberal David Frum. He talked about how the party is being influenced by the Republican Entertainment complex, who continually provide misinformation to a gullible (my word) base for the purpose of profit.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:29 AM
TBL Commenters, drop the political stuff. We’re talking Star Wars and shit. FOCUS.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
I think it could end up being Snyder if Man of Steel does well.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:30 AM
Brad Pitt has that covered.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
Fuck the JLA movie, del Torro is considering making a Justice League Dark movie.
Swamp Thing, Deadman, Spectre, Constantine? OH MY GOD YES
November 9th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
Agreed, Mel Brooks should do the next Star Wars.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:31 AM
First you get the money, then you get the power.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:32 AM
CJ – are you at all concerned about the damage that is going to be done to your lady parts in the next few months? Chewed bubble gum and what not.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:32 AM
Two things.
1) I love that his production company is named after the morning after pill
2) Loved that book, that movie looks like it’s going to be the worst zombie movie ever made and considering the production issues, I feel safe in that assumption.
Only way to make that book is a miniseries. I want to see the India and Japan/China parts from history played out. Fuck that nonsense.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:33 AM

November 9th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
I finally picked up World War Z….I’m enjoying it and I assume I’m the last person that comments here to have read it.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
The rumor of Colin Trevorrow as Director is an interesting one for Star Wars. But I don’t think Disney would let a guy with just a learners permit have the keys to its new ferarri.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
I told my husband before we got see Lincoln in the theater we have to rent the zombie prequel first on Netflix. Or is it a sequel? I’m unsure of the time frame.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
Keep running with that. agreed.

He talked about how the party is being influenced by the Republican Entertainment complex, who continually provide misinformation to a gullible (my word) base for the purpose of profit.
In all seriousness if you could point me to a stock that specializes in that I would invest today. Those people are getting paid.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
Ive been doing my kegels. We’ll see. C-sections are all the rage these days.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:33 AM
Yes. “Heaven Sent.” This has me much more excited than the slim possibility JLA ever gets made. Zatana too! I really hope that movie gets made.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:34 AM
Guy Ritchie for Star Wars! Brad Pitt as Han Solo….
November 9th, 2012 at 9:34 AM
I’d be okay with that.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:35 AM
Seriously? That would be fantastic.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Could you imagine del Torro’s Swamp Thing?
Such a shame he couldn’t do the Hobbit. Now we end up with Cokefiend McSheepfucker shoehorning in Leglolas (WHAT?) and making it three movies. Bah.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
All of this. I want to see the stuff from around the world. Not just the attack in Yonkers.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Isn’t Joss Whedon on obvious candidate for Star Wars? I’d like to see Abrams do it, but doing both Star Wars and Star Trek would be interesting.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Funny, our doctor wanted to do anything possible to avoid a C-Section, and we had twins. Ultimately, the C-Section was the best option, so we did that. I can see where as a woman the C-Section would be a very attractive option.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:36 AM
Only way to make that book is a miniseries. I want to see the India and Japan/China parts from history played out. Fuck that nonsense.
Yup. Watched the preview last night, was not impressed.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
the movie is targeting 2015 release. no way he could do that and the Avengers 2
November 9th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
I didn’t see the last Superman movie, Superman is really a fairly horrible comic character, but I’ll see the new one because of the cast.
Was pointed out the other day on Filmdrunk that Michael Shannon was the hippie in Grand Theft Parsons and I was blown away.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
So, why spend all that time deciding that women are so fucking stupid that they’ll listen to whatever Sarah Jessica Parker says?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
Especially if he had a favorite growing up. It would be the ultimate Nerd Ploy.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:38 AM
Can’t wait for all the product placement and horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrribly boring sections!
November 9th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
del Toro is PERFECT for those JL Dark characters. I’d love Animal Man to be involved, but beggars can’t be choosers. Also, whoever does the casting better not cast an American robot as Constantine.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
oskie, good point.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
And he added Kate from Lost for some reason. I don’t know why he does that.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
That is the part that pisses me off the most about the Hobbit. You have 250 pages of source material and they’re expanding it by using the appendix in Lord of the Rings (about 80 pages)…so that means we need three 160+ minute movies? What the fuck?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:39 AM
If Avengers 2 is anything like the majority of the Marvel films it shouldnt be that hard.
/still mad about Iron Man 2
November 9th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
1. I agree (apparently Pitt and Foster weren’t even talking to one another by the end of the filming). Its a really good trailer though.
2. It looks like they’re going to have Pitt travel around the world in real time rather than cover it all in flashbacks. Looks like the Ras Singh stuff is included, and the Isreali wall. I’m with you that a miniseries would be far better, though. Every part could essentially be its own story.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
Well, their adding all the stuff that builds up to LoTR from the appendixes. But 3 movies? I really wish they would’ve stuck with 2. And I would’ve loved to see someone like del Toro just take it to a darker place.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:40 AM
nope, I’m with you just started a little bit ago myself
November 9th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
I agree. Being all powerful and a beacon for man kind is dull.
Sorry, sparty.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
Worst mis-step of the franchise.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:41 AM
After a decade of demonizing immigration reform as amnesty, they’re all of a sudden for it simply because they hope it will keep them from losing another election.
Obama will end up having to trade some of the tax increases for immigration reform, maybe all of them.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
Del toro would do awesome aliens and their worlds
November 9th, 2012 at 9:42 AM
Del Torro is the closest thing we’ve got to Henson now that he’s dead, the creatures he has created are far and away the most creative things put to screen in the last twenty years. Peter Jackson has a blank check and CGI, woopdiefuckingdoo. I still remember hearing he was directing LotR and asking one of my friends if it was the same Peter Jackson from Dead Alive.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:43 AM
Interesting.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:44 AM
The movie sucked but I thought Routh did a good job as Superman/Clark Kent.
Agreed entirely. Who would you cast?

Pacific Rim is already near the top of my 2013 list and I havent seen a second of footage.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
The Hobbit would have greatly benefited if Jackson would have produced and Del Toro directed like they originally planned.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
I always liked The Frighteners, for some odd reason.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
you didn’t like the Avengers?
yet Donner’s Superman remains the gold standard for comic book movies.
/ignores reversing the rotation of the Earth on its axis
November 9th, 2012 at 9:45 AM
Routh did a great Christopher Reeves
November 9th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
I mean, it was a 2 minute trailer so I can’t be sure. But it seems like there were scenes set in India and the last money shot was tens of thousands of zombies trying to scale a massive fortification. So its an educated guess.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Ding ding–winner. This is why networks pay out the nose for sports, and why TBL and his RATINGS!! boner don’t get it. It’s the only non-dvrable content. It serves a promotional as well as financial component. But complex multi-layered thought doesn’t really driver trtaffic. Dong pics and RATINGS!!! posts do. You’ll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
Jude Law.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
C-sections are all the rage these days.
Our first child was normal delivery and second was c-section. Both are pretty wild in their own way. Also, congrats to Urinal Mint, saw yesterday they had a little one.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:46 AM
how is it so far?
November 9th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
Its not odd. Frighteners owns.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
That movie is fucking incredible. One of my favorite horror movies. I love Jackson’s horror movies, but how nobody took a step back from him after Lovely Bones and King Kong, I do not know.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:47 AM
//throws “S” logo at you
November 9th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
son, it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
that wasn’t Donner
November 9th, 2012 at 9:48 AM
No I liked Avengers. But the majority of the Marvel films have been whiffs.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Ahhhh, I completely forgot about his abortion of King Kong.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:49 AM
Very true.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
That trailer hurt my eyes.
/cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut cut
November 9th, 2012 at 9:50 AM
I know, I know. I’m just giving you a hard time. Regardless, Superman is not as interesting as Hal Jordan. Just accept it.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
avengers was ok…i liked thor the best tho. thought that was a) a relatively unfamiliar character and b) had the best acting job for the character. thought captain america was crap.
thought xmen: first class was phenomenal, on the other hand.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
“When I’m making love, I like to play this game called ‘who comes first.’ I currently stand undefeated.”
November 9th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
When you watch sports on DVR, you really start to understand just how much time is wasted on nothing. The 25-30 seconds of people standing around in between plays in baseball and football, the amount of time it takes to call a foul and then shoot free throws in basketball, amount of time golfers take to hit the ball. We as viewers waste so much time just staring at the screen waiting for something, anything to happen.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:51 AM
Cameron for aquaman, natch
November 9th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
Really? I thought most of them have been pretty good. Certainly a lot better than what DC/WB has put out.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
This isn’t shocking at seems how the Thor movie was the Creed of comic book movies.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:52 AM
I feel the same way on all that. I really enjoyed Thor. Avengers probably just had too much hype. Captain America 45minutes in was looking great. Then it really shit the bed.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:53 AM
Because Vinnie Chase is clearly the perfect person to play A.C.
Actually, I would love to see an Aquaman movie. And I am ok with being probably the only one.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
To be fair, the Nolan batman movies were enjoyable. Green Lantern was a little disappointing. But GL was better than Thor, Cap, and Iron Man 2.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:54 AM
Our first child was c-section after a 18 hour labor. The second child was c-section because once you have one, it was more convenient to cut along what had already been established than sitting through another prolonged labor.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
if they said it had no connection to the other films, then i would agree. otherwise, the plot holes ruin it for me.
Clark Kent is a much more interesting character, really. It just hasn’t been looked into enough in film. Which is why Snyder’s film is intriguing. Honestly, the idea of Smallville was a great one, though it had terrible writing and acting. It also bastardized the charcter
November 9th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
I’m a fan of Aquaman. Come on, how could you not love this.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:55 AM
I said i just started it spence!!!
November 9th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
he fought a fucking cloud.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
to be fair, if you know the game, this is hardly nothing. part of golf is watching how a golfer deals with pressure and how they plan their shots. you can see mickelson planning something stupid, or tiger thinking about how he wants to shape a shot in and, on the other side of the coin, bubba and rickie fowler just step up and wail away.
this is really only an issue with a) tiger and b) late in a tourney/broadcast. up until the shots’ importance ratchets up, you usually get five or six shots per minute.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
Captain America was the……..
/takes pull off cigarette.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:56 AM
I liked the Nolan Batman’s but Green Lantern was an absolutely spectacular fail. I am a huge GL fan and I thought that movie was absolute garbage. To that, I thought Reynolds did a good job as Hal Jordan but that was about it.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
Agreed. But still, Hal Jordan owns.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
im sorry, this is unacceptable. i demand you increase your reading speed one hundredfold instantly and give me a full book report asap.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
Green Lantern is probably the worst “modern” superhero movie outside of Catwoman. That thing was a live-birth back-alley abortion.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:57 AM
Generally watch whatever this guy recommends.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
First time I watched it. I was severely disappointed. Went back and watched it recently, and I thought it was ok. Then again, I’m just being a “homer” because GL is my favorite comic book character.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
SERIOUSLY. not only was it a steaming pile of shit, but it prevented ryan reynolds from playing DEADPOOL…the unquestionable greatest comic character ever.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:58 AM
Marvel produced Origins: Wolverine, the worst comic book movie of all time, so you Marvel fanboys can cram it will walnuts.
Two movies that must get made
1. Blackest Night
2. Kingdom Come (only thing even remotely salvageable about the Spider Man films was Alex Ross painting the credits)
November 9th, 2012 at 9:59 AM
Agree with this statement..the cast was also great. Fassbender, Lawrence (who can easily get it), McAvoy all were great choices.
November 9th, 2012 at 9:59 AM
Do you happen to know what issue that is from?
I would love to see Aquaman on the big screen. Especially if part of the film takes place in Atlantis. I’ve always had a fascination with Atlantis. The picture that Reis did in Aquaman 0 was fantastic.

OH I’M SORRY DID EITHER OF THOSE MOVIES HAVE WIL.I.AM AND THE GUY FROM BATTLESHIP
November 9th, 2012 at 10:00 AM
In order of movie awesomeness
1. Cap
2. Iron Man 1
3. Avengers
4.
5. Thor
8. Green Hornet
9. Green Lantern
November 9th, 2012 at 10:00 AM
not to mention half-deadpool, half-whatever the fuck that thing was. GOD DAMNIT WHY COULDNT WE HAVE DEADPOOL!!!???
November 9th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
How much weight did Russell Crowe gain for Man of Steel even though they told him he didn’t need to try to look like Brando? Ninety pounds?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
No. Fox not greenlighting the Deadpool movie is what is preventing Reynolds from playing him.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
For me it’s Green Arrow. I’ve enjoyed the Arrow show so far. Surprisingly enough.
Blackest Night would be sick.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:01 AM
im aware of this, but reynolds wouldve done deadpool movie if not for that shitty GL.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
ya tell that to Lori on the Walking Dead
November 9th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
It’s from an early issue of JL in the new 52. I think #1 or #2.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
I did not care for the Nolan films.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Seriously, Green Hornet was better than Green Lantern and Green Hornet was terrible.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:02 AM
Uh, Fantastic Four?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:03 AM
I have them so I’ll have to go back and look for it. I am excited that Johns is leaving the title, not so much that Reis/Prado are leaving with him. Their art is amazing.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Hahahaha I forgot about this shit. Jesus Christ, Marvel fans, defend yourselves now.
The second one was even worse. Was a Dodge commercial and they ruined Silver Surfer.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Blackest Night is fucking awesome. Best crossover of the last 20 years. Not even close. So is the Sinestro Corps War. You know, Green Lantern has so many fucking awesome stories that it would be awesome as a TV show on HBO or showtime. Seriously. It would cost a shit ton to make, but a boy can dream.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
The writers of that show seem to be opposed to women playing any significant role. All the female characters blow. That said, I was happen Lori bit it. She sucked.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:04 AM
Green Lantern is much worse than Wolverine. MUCH worse.
Did Wolverine fight a walking candy apple that transformed into a cloud? OK then.
Green Lantern was the worst movie I saw all of last year.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:05 AM
The guy playing Cato was a total miscast, but it is definitely superior to Green Lantern.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:06 AM
The only redeeming thing from Wolverine was Liev Schreiber.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:06 AM
You know, Johns gets a lot of shit. But what he’s done to Aquaman in the new 52 is pretty fantastic.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Wolverine could have been cool if they had focused more on him and his brother during the early 20th century. Very under-represented era, in my opinion.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Yeah they get overlooked because they aren’t part of Marvel Phase 1 but they were both terrible. I mean, Vic Makey as The Thing? Come on.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
they hated it, too
November 9th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Great casting.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:07 AM
The Warhol Museum had an Alex Ross exhibit last year that was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Not sure if it’s gone to any other museums but if it ever does and you can see it, go. Just so much stuff that blew me away, including his drawings as a child.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
Green Lantern was worse. If Fantastic Four was a third-term coathanger abortion, Green Lantern waited until the kid was actually born, then beat him to death with an old shoe.
FF is being rebooted, too. It’s hilarious that you can just screw up a $100 million movie now and then make another one a few years later. Comiv book fans will flock to anything.
Kingdom Come would be incredible – that’s the last good thing I remember from when I used to read comic books – but it would have to be an HBO miniseries.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
Let’s be real. Most of the Marvel movies have been disappointing. Much like Marvel comics. Just not that great.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
I actually thought the casting was the only good thing about the movie
November 9th, 2012 at 10:08 AM
I agree. He’s a pretty good writer and what he has done with Aquaman is nothing short of a miracle. There are a lot of people that hate Johns and I don’t get it. Then again, I love just about everything Scott Snyder has ever done, especially his non DC Titles like American Vampire and Severed but people hate him as well.
That said, I am excited to see what can be built off the ground work Johns has laid in Aquaman.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:09 AM
Worse than Frank Miller joints?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
Jon Favreau just got Star Wars:
Han Solo: You know what you are? You’re like a big sexual wookie with claws and with fangs…
Borkins: …big fucking teeth, man.
Han Solo: Yeah… big fuckin’ teeth on ya’. And she’s just like this little womp rat, who’s just kinda cowering in the corner.
Borkins: Shivering.
Han Solo: Yeah, man just kinda… you know, you got these claws and jedi mind tricks and you’re staring at these claws and your thinking to yourself, and with these claws you’re thinking, “How am I supposed to blast this womp rat, how am I supposed to blast this womp rat?”
Borkins: And you’re poking at it, you’re poking at it…
Han Solo: Yeah, you’re not hurting it. You’re just kinda gently batting the wompart around, you know what I mean? And the womp rat is scared Luke, the womp rat is scared of you, shivering.
Borkins: And you got these fucking claws and this jedi mind shit…
Han Solo: And you got these fucking claws and these jedi mind tricks man! And you’re looking at your claws and ythinking your jedi mind shit. And you’re thinking to yourself, you don’t know what to do, man. “I don’t know how to blast this womp rat.” With *this* you don’t know how to take this bitch to the dark side, do you know what I mean?
Borkins: You’re like a big jedi wookie man.
Luke Skywalker: So you’re not just like fucking with me?
Han Solo: No I’m not fucking with you.
Borkins: Honestly, man.

the Spirit was turrible.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
Julian McMahon is the worst actor alive.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:10 AM
When I first heard they were making a Wolverine Origin movie I thought, weren’t the first THREE X-Men movies basically about Wolverine?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
Scott Snyder might be favorite writer going. His Batman stuff is outstanding.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
I would actually take Favreau to direct as long as the script is solid.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
Legit: Iron Man, Thor, Avengers, X-Men 2, X-Men First Class
OK: Captain America, Iron Man 2, X-Men
Meh: Hulk
Utter turds: FF 1 & 2, X-Men 3, Wolverine, Emo Hulk
November 9th, 2012 at 10:11 AM
eggsackly. it should have been about him and Sabretooth, if at all.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:12 AM
He is awesome. I haven’t been disappointed with a movie I have seen him in for a while.
He’s got this thing. The stuff The shit. The fucking grit, He got it.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:12 AM
“The Objectivist ethics holds that the actor must always be the beneficiary of his action and that man must act for his own rational self-interest.”
So would not the “rational man” vote in his self interest to get free stuff? Did Paul Ryan vote Obama?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:13 AM
That was bad casting. As was Jessica Alba. Holy shit does she suck. Nice to look at, but not that talented.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:14 AM
Jessica Alba looks fucking PHENOMENAL in FF. Ass like bla-DOW!
November 9th, 2012 at 10:14 AM
Liev Schreiber
That’s a terrible name. I fully expected him to look like somebody in a Jane Austen movie.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:14 AM
THOR SUCKED. Come on. I really like the Ed Norton Hulk movie.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:15 AM
The only “Marvel” movie I like better than Thor is Iron Man.
Good story, solid direction, quality acting. Nothing wrong with Thor at all. I thought that thing was going to be an upper-decker turd but I was really impressed.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:16 AM
Ha ha. It brings the sizzle and the pop. Much like Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti, he makes the movie better even if he isn’t the star. Kind of like Kevin Spacey use to.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:17 AM
He’ll always be Cotton Weary to me
November 9th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
Spiderman 2?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
The Asgard stuff was really good. But when Thor is on Earth? Terrible. It reminded me of the Masters of the Universe movie.
/pours one out for Dolph Lundgren
//he’s dead, right?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:18 AM
Spiderman 2 wasn’t a “Marvel” movie.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
47m people on food stamps and 8% unemployment, so yeah, pretty much.
The Obama Playbook was to spend our way into record deficits and 8%+ unemployment for 40+ months, get an ungodly amount of people on food stamps and not paying taxes — i.e. causing them to rely on government for sustenance — and then use their dependency on these entitlements to in turn convince them to vote him back into office. So that he can cause even more unemployment, and get even more people on the government dole, and around and around we go.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
He’s Mr. Darcy’s distant cousin. The banker who is aloof and unsure if wants to marry some flibitty-jibit woman.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
Hahahahahahahahahahaha wow that’s a great description. Asgard, amazing, albeit a bit like Rainbow Road, Earth, unwatchable.
Also Frank Langela rolling down the street on a homecoming float as Skeletor is a highlight of my childhood.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:19 AM
He should change it to Ross “the boss” Rhea
November 9th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
He’ll always be Cotton Weary to me
Wow. I had to look that up. Not only does he have a terrible name in real life, his characters also have the worst names possible. This guy took a dump on a god in a previous life man.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:20 AM
I thought Thor was a whole lot of meh. I thought everything that happened on Earth was pretty terrible.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
I won’t disagree there…Michonne has the best possibility of developing but they really haven’t given her much to do this season.
While Lori did suck they way she went out was the best work they have given her on the series. That scene with her and carl was tough to watch
November 9th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
Get that woman a razor.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:21 AM
Liev Schreiber was the only good thing about Sum Of All Fears.
There needs to be a Rainbow Six movie with him.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
Or what Watsonian and Cowboy Mike said. The chemistry between Thor and Natalie Portman’s character was non-existent.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
The question is, do you take the gamble on that first big hill to try to jump and make that shortcut?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:22 AM
I think Thor is tough to portray on Earth, much like Green Lantern
November 9th, 2012 at 10:23 AM
Mike NYC — like I told the other guy, keep going down that road. It’s really worked well for you guys in the last two elections.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:23 AM
The middle part of the movie drags it down bad. The train scene however was awesome.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:24 AM
The comic book movie that let me down the most though was, without a doubt, Spawn.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:24 AM

/muhahaha, I will destroy this country for the pure purpose of getting elected president again!
November 9th, 2012 at 10:25 AM
Just a notch above Alba in acting.
Just a notch below Alba in looks.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:26 AM
Well, while Portman may look like a goddess, she was a human and Thor a god. The fish-out-of-water theme was kind of the key to the entire movie. Not sure this one needed a deep love story.

HBO cartoon fucking rocks, though.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
It was made about 5 years too early. If that ever was remade, it could be awesome with today’s CGI.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
All I heard was “But, Aquaman, you cannot marry a woman without gills. You’re from two different worlds!”
November 9th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
The comic book movie that let me down the most though was, without a doubt, TMNT!
November 9th, 2012 at 10:29 AM
I would be happy if we could get a full season of Venture Bros.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:29 AM
People are complaining about the zombies now? One of the dumbest tropes around is that staggering, slow moving creatures would create widespread death and destruction. I liked they there were essentially a fast horde of ants. Much scarier that way.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:29 AM
The scene of Jade killing Genghis Khan is one of my favorite scenes in animation.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:29 AM
Give me Tony Jaa in a rubber suit or give me death.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
Or Hedge Clippers.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
I only see Zombie movies with Milla Jovovich
November 9th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
Ong Bak was so bad ass!
November 9th, 2012 at 10:31 AM
Still not sure if season 5 will be or not. Considering everything outside of the Korean animation is done by them themselves, it’s not surprising how long it takes them.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:32 AM
Needs more templing of the fingers and insistence on releasing the hounds.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:33 AM
I wish they would farm that out. I don’t really know anything about animation, but it seems like they should be able to do it at least a little quicker.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:34 AM
Knees to your face! He is awesome.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:34 AM
I have never heard it called that. Good to know.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
Lots of elbows to the top of the cranium as well. I watched the alley way scene the other night, outstanding.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
How bad does it burn you that “shellshocked” Mitt couldn’t beat him?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:36 AM
Was Tony Jaa going to be in TMNT? I hadn’t heard that.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:37 AM
I’m picturing it more like Dr. Claw sitting in a very official looking chair menacingly petting his cat
November 9th, 2012 at 10:38 AM
Fellow Republicans – Wake up. 10M more women voted than men on Tuesday. If you don’t understand that the extremist views from the religious right in our party didn’t cost us the election then you are delusional.
We need to decide what is more important – our fiscal plans or this social agenda. I say the fiscal plans.

November 9th, 2012 at 10:40 AM
What was the Tom Clancy book that had John Clark’s backstory? He was making silencers out of 2 liters and dropping bodies into the Chesapeake for crabs to feast on?
They could make some really great movies along these lines, then have it lead to Rainbow Six (much like the Avengers).
Also, reboot the Bourne Trilogy with Carlos the Jackal….
November 9th, 2012 at 10:40 AM
Well they farm out the actual animation, that takes forever. They do the writing and storyboards.
Before The Simpsons went digital it took six months to make a single episode. They had a writing staff of over twenty working at all times so there was no overlap. VB has a staff of two.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:42 AM
Without Remorse? That was the prequel book to his universe of books.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:42 AM
Is this true? That fucking rocks.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:45 AM
So, this means the Obama campaign was able to get alot of Republicans to cross over. Good strategy.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:46 AM
See I’d rather they make it a television show on HBO or Showtime. The books are just filled with so much detail that you wouldn’t be doing the plot any justice. Thirteen episode season of Rainbow Six would be appointment viewing.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:47 AM
Makes sense. I get the feeling sometimes that they might be bored with the story line. Kind of like when they killed off Henchman 24 and blew up the Orb. I worry about this.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:48 AM
That’s the one. You update that to have John Clark as a SEAL in Panama or Desert Storm (though i’d be better to keep him in Vietnam) then another movie about his time in the CIA (perhaps with a bit of Cardinal of the Kremlin, but the Kremlin becomes Iran/Iraq), then Rainbow Six becomes a near-present day hunt for terrorists.

They delivered the election for Obama in 08 as well.
Do not listen to this man, if you abandon your ideals Zeus will strike you down or whatever. Lightning and shit. You just going to let that slut Eve win? Listen to your pastors, not this man.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:50 AM
POssibly, thoguh you still need a hook into John Clark and Ding. Have you seen the BBC series Ultimate Force?
November 9th, 2012 at 10:53 AM
How bad does it burn you that “shellshocked” Mitt couldn’t beat him?
After seeing all those jackasses during the GOP convention, I honestly thought BO would win by a landslide. I was more shocked it was actually close.
November 9th, 2012 at 10:59 AM
Can’t find a complete demographic breakdown of voters, is that not out yet?
November 9th, 2012 at 11:00 AM
Have not, but having just googled it, I will be adding it to my Netflix queue. Looks pretty cool.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:01 AM
I think that is what turned me off the most. I was totally disinterested in voting Repub after that.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:02 AM
This is pretty good.
Props to that 7% of the black population who didn’t vote down the line.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:05 AM
From the linked article:
“Boeing said the changes were not a response to the threat of additional, across-the-board U.S. budget cuts due to take effect on Jan. 2, or the outcome of U.S. elections”
You don’t know what you’re talking about. Or don’t know how to read, or don’t know how to comprehend what you’re reading, as I learned the other day.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:07 AM
A +2% increase from ’08.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:09 AM
Props to that 7% of the black population who didn’t vote down the line.
Yeah, they’re NOT racist against whites…or pro-black or whatever.
/that’s the narrative, right?
November 9th, 2012 at 11:10 AM
Are you still trying to figure out the difference between a public disclosure and internal data?
Really not that difficult.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:10 AM
Yeah it must really suck to be rich and white right now.
/wanking
November 9th, 2012 at 11:10 AM
The asian voting patterns are interesting. I think that should be a group the Republicans should target, though admittedly their numbers are high mainly in non-battleground states right now.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:11 AM
No props to the 59% of whites who stayed the course?
November 9th, 2012 at 11:14 AM
They joined the 59% of the White voters who chose the inferior candidate. This is what makes America great.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:22 AM
MikeNYC…you keep mentioning people on food stamps and the unemployment as a strategy for Obama…
Most of those people live in red states. How effective would that strategy really be with the electoral college?
November 9th, 2012 at 11:28 AM
But they earned those food stamps, its just the Obama food stamp voters who take stuff.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:32 AM
White unemployment rate is 7%. Black unemployment rate is double that.
White food stamp enrollment makes up 49% of the program, though they make up 72% of the U.S. population.
Black + Hispanic food stamp enrollment makes up 46% of the program, though they make up 29% of the U.S. population.
Obama got 93% of the black vote and 71% of the Hispanic vote.
You do the math. The cruel reality is that Obama’s policies are killing his most loyal voters.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:34 AM
Exit polls need more detail. How about a breakdown on food stamp recipients, those receiving unemployment and those in the top marginal tax bracket?
November 9th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
I’m still tryhing to figure out where you pulled that out of.
The quote I posted — and the point I was making — is that GE said it did not disclose its taxes on a country-by-country basis, then turned around and said, oh, yeah, we paid $1 billion in taxes in the U.S. Which I called doublespeak.
You somehow misinterpreted that as me implying GE did not know what its taxes were on a country-by-country basis. Which I never said, or implied.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:39 AM
Eh, you’re dumb. Go to the Department of Labor, BLS website, and take a look at the year by year historical unemployment numbers. The White/Black unemployment ratio never changes, whether it be during the time of a recession or an economic boom. Why this exists can be a different discussion on it’s own. But to blame something that has always existed on Obama’s policies exposes you.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:40 AM
They do no legally disclose that data in its financial filings. It is not public information.
However … when the NYT is running hit pieces on the company suggesting they don’t pay income taxes, and when asked by journalists to refute the “story”, they provided (or, as you say, “turned around”) the $1b figure in response to the allegations.
Which you somehow imply is doublespeak.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:41 AM
It seems that by giving them food stamps, he’s letting them live. Unless the food stamps are for poison food, then he’s killing them.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:42 AM
/who has driven well past the last exit to relevance and veered into something closer to irresponsible
November 9th, 2012 at 11:45 AM
You are not addressing the issue of the electoral map and using this as a strategy for re-election.
Most of these people live in red states, regardless of race.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:47 AM
You do the math. The cruel reality is that Obama’s policies are killing his most loyal voters.
I love the idea that somehow minorities are still at “fault” for Obama winning in 08 and 12. And O’Reilly was HILARIOUS spinning this as somehow whites are now the minority in the country. Obama still needed white folks to vote for him, otherwise he’d have been blown out both times. Rather than try and do more to reach out to minority voters, some in the GOP seem content to keep on scapgoating them.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:51 AM
Unless the food stamps are for poison food, then he’s killing them.
He can only suppress his Muslim terrorist heritage for so long.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:52 AM
Again, I was not referring to GE’s corporate filing. I was referring to direct statements by its spokesman upon being asked how much in taxes GE paid.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:53 AM
Like the Staples Sisters said: I’ll Take You There

November 9th, 2012 at 11:53 AM
oh, he’s been suppressing muslim terrorists just fine, thankyouverymuch.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:55 AM
Which takes me back to your post accusing Obama of direct responsibility for Boeing announcing job cuts the day after the election, when Boeing itself made no such link and in fact stated that the cuts had nothing to do with the U.S. budget situation or the election results.
November 9th, 2012 at 11:58 AM
The cruel reality is that Obama’s policies are killing his most loyal voters.
Perhaps if Republicans would like to attract black voters they could adopt a less harsh tone towards the whole concept of entitlement programs and finally realize that black people are by and large loyal to the Democrat Party because it passed the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act over small-government Republicans in the House and Senate. Based on that you can forgive blacks for being leery of any Republican talking about shrinking the size of government.
November 9th, 2012 at 12:01 PM
But he is giving them a phone…from a program started under Reagan.

Certain words get caught up in the filter. I’d tell you what they are but then you wouldn’t be able to read the comment. Suffice to say one of them is the action of blood letting, another one is related to a type of political system that falls just short of communism. And referring to a person from Mexico by their demonym used to be one of the words and it might still be. Can’t recall.
