Colorado and Washington became the first states to legalize marijuana yesterday. No one was as excited about that as former Titans and USC running back, LenDale White. You may remember back in 2010 when White was handed a 4-game suspension by the NFL for violating the league’s drug policy. He later admitted that he had smoked marijuana, which was very shocking. I mean, a young rich guy smoking weed? I nearly fell off my high horse.

Unfortunately for White (if he were still in the league) and the members of the Seahawks and Broncos, just because it is legal, doesn’t mean the NFL is going to allow it. From USA Today:

“The NFL’s policy is collectively bargained and will continue to apply in the same manner it has for decades,” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told USA TODAY Sports Wednesday morning. “Marijuana remains prohibited under the NFL substance abuse program.”

The NFL is the highest-ranked governing body in the United States.
