Group A – Franchise QB’s. There are 6 of them… with another couple close. NYG, DEN, PIT, NE, NO, GB
Group B – Potential Franchise QB’s. Some are young and will likely move up. Others are older and close to franchise. HOU, ATL, CHI, IND, WAS, CAR(?)
Group C – Older Serviceable QB’s. You know what you’ve got, for good or bad. DAL, BAL, SD, SF, OAK (E?), PHI
Group D – Younger Non-Franchise, but Potentially Solid QB’s. CLE, MIA, SEA, DET (B?), TB, SEA, STL, CIN, MIN (E?), TEN (E?)
Group E – HELP! ARI, BUF, NYJ, JAX (D?),

Yeah, Luck, RGIII, Cam and Stafford are probably in group A. I was just thinking group A would be “these guys are ready to win a Super Bowl, but I don’t the problem with the Colts, Skins, Panthers or Lions is their QB play. Lions fans may disagree though.

Weeden is a little old to be a “young guy who might become a franchise QB” and he’s certainly not established as “the man” so I guess he’s in the Rivers, Smith, Romo, Flacco section of group C where maybe you can win this guy if you have a great running game/defense/coach combo with him.

There are 3 kinds of teams in terms of QB: Group A.) Teams that know they have their guy, Group B) teams that have a young guy who might become their guy, and Group C teams that need a QB.

Group A: DEN, NE, NO, GB, PIT, NYG, HOU, ATL, CHI
Group B: IND, WAS, CAR, MIA, CIN, DET, TB, STL, SEA, JAX

Not sure I agree with the groupings. If Luck, RG3, Cam and Stafford are healthy, they are absolutely starting every game the next 1-2 years minimum. They are locked in.

The window on a few of those QBs is closing quickly. Brady/Manning are 35/36. As hard as it is to imagine the Patriots without Brady again, that time could be fairly soon.

Roethlisberger is only 30, but I could see him going downhill fast when it comes (because of injuries). Same with Schaub. Brees is 33.

Brady and Manning are 35/36 though. The end is coming for those teams, and I hope we don’t go through another era of shitty QBs (re: the 1995-6 drafts where Tony Banks was the best QB taken…)

You could probably sell a lot of tickets to that event.

Side note: I’ve been really bored with this football season.

I’ve had Michigan season tickets for almost 20 years. This Saturday will be only the 2nd game I’ve been to this season.

You could put the two best teams in the league on Thursday and the game would still suck out loud.

I’d rather they draft a QB

His situation reminds me a bit of Allen Iverson. While in their respective primes, they filled stadiums.

Now, who wants to revamp their long-term plan to accommodate a guy who is such a unique player, who is on the back side of his prime? Is he really gonna make your specific team better next year?

Does anyone else feel the same or am I just lame?

The matchups the past few weeks havent been the greatest.
