Michael Vick on His Brother’s Tweets: ‘I’m going to have to address that’
Michael Vick was sacked seven times by the Saints in a crushing 28-13 defeat on Monday Night Football. It was the Eagles’ fourth straight loss. With 133 points through eight games, Philadelphia has the lowest point total in the NFC. That is tied for 2nd worst in the NFL with Kansas City (Jacksonville is last at 117).
That obviously reflects on Vick, who has been a turnover machine (nine interceptions, five fumbles) and inaccurate (58.3 % completions, which places him near the bottom of the league with rookies or young QBs).
It would be remiss of us to forget the offensive line, which has been an unmitigated disaster. Marcus Vick, Michael’s brother, had plenty to say about the porous line last night during a twitter barrage.
When asked about his brother’s comments after the loss, the Eagles’ QB had this to say:
“That’s something I’m really going to have to address once I leave here,” Vick said. “We’re out there fighting as hard as we can, giving it everything we’ve got, and that’s certainly not the case. I love each and every guy in that locker room, and if I could make every play right I would. I know they would do the same, so that’s certainly not the case.”
Andy Reid has named Vick the starter for Sunday’s loser-is-done clash with the Cowboys. [CSN Philly]

This doesn’t seem like an answer to the given question.

No matter how shitty a QB he has become, I really have to give Vick a lot of credit for how he handles himself. He seems to have turned his life around, regardless of what happens on a football field. Couldn’t give a damn about dog fighting. In fact, I’m more disgusted by the people who thinks he hasn’t been punished enough for that.

I’m more curious as to why anyone would follow Marcus Vick on twitter in the first place.
November 6th, 2012 at 10:59 AM
How so? He was asked to address his brothers claim that rest of the team deserves a lot of the blame for what’s happening to them. And he just said that everyone is doing the best they can and they can all improve, including himself.

Oh, I only saw his tweet demanding his brother be traded. Not that it was the rest of the teams fault for his shitty play.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:02 AM
Agreed. He paid his debt in jail and works with the Humane Society. All good in my book.

Seems like a strong word. It seems pretty easy to understand why people would think he deserved more punishment for drowning and electrocuting dogs with his own hands. You can disagree with them, but their feelings are not the disgusting part of this whole thing.
Anyways, to your larger point, I have always gotten a strong sense of commitment from Vick’s teammates. He must be a great locker room guy and I agree he always seems to handle himself that way with the media.

The Eagles are already done. Don’t fool yourself. This team rolled over last night.

Those people value animals over humans. Jerks
November 6th, 2012 at 11:06 AM
Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but yes, valuing animals over human is ridiculous.

I want Andy and Jason standing on hidden floor doors with both owners patiently waiting on the sideline to pull the switch. I would expect both owners to pull the switch midway through the second quarter of a 3-3 game.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:08 AM
No.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:08 AM
It’d probably be 0-0 because both coaches punted inside their 35 yard line.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:10 AM
The real question is who follows Marcus Vick’s twitter account?
November 6th, 2012 at 11:10 AM
Probably. They would both make that decision then next time they got close they would attempt 55 yard field goals.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:12 AM
Co-signed. DeMarcus Ware is licking his chops at a chance to tee off against the Eagles shitty O-line. Ware could end up with an Osi-like 6 sacks on Sunday.
And guaranteed – boo birds, stuff being thrown on the field, it’s all in play for a 4:25pm national game in Philly.

Once he serves time for killing dogs, I’ll consider him as having been punished enough.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:15 AM
jj watt right now on the score 670 am
November 6th, 2012 at 11:16 AM
I guess if you are a fan of technicality, this would make sense.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:17 AM
Totally agree. I can’t imagine being a Dallas fan and showing up to that game in Dallas gear.
I feel like columnists should get their “Philly fans are horrible” columns together now to beat the rush next Monday.

that’s a good ball punch going on in the photo
peanut would be proud

no way man. torture vick, then make him fight other black quarterbacks
November 6th, 2012 at 11:23 AM
I’d have to have Cam Newton favored in this death match. Although I bet Josh Freeman would surprise some people.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:34 AM
Marcus Vick another product of that dump Va Tech, what a waste of a college
November 6th, 2012 at 11:34 AM
i think cam is probably a pussy. freeman or rg3. don’t sleep on jason campbell tho….lost of time to practice guilllotines as a backup
November 6th, 2012 at 11:35 AM
no va tech shooting jokes?
proud of ya TBlers
November 6th, 2012 at 11:52 AM
I’m still trying to figure out how Vick survived that beating he took last night. On one series, he was sacked on three straight plays.
November 6th, 2012 at 11:54 AM
Still waiting for Capone to serve time for killing other gangsters.
November 6th, 2012 at 12:01 PM
Wonder if he is drooling for that upcoming game against the Bears O-line. Last I heard, the spread was -1.5 for Chicago. Doing a pick em league for my brother and not sure who to pick in this one.
November 6th, 2012 at 12:10 PM
i’d go bears pd. bears d is better, offense is clicking after the first quarter, home and 1-point games are rare
November 6th, 2012 at 1:17 PM
Well I guess I’m gonna have to throw my degree away now.
