Chris Paul Lived up to His Trash Talking Hype Saturday Against Stephen Curry
The Warriors surprised the Clippers Saturday night, 114-110, and they did it with a late defensive stand. The Clippers went pick-and-roll with Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, and the Warriors switched, leaving Stephen Curry to defend Griffin, and David Lee all alone on an island with CP3.
Game over, right? This was Chris Paul’s thought process on the final play, which shouldn’t surprise you given what Stephen Curry told us in September:
“You think I care which one of them guards me?” Paul said. “Come on, now. Stephen Curry? All-defense, huh? Psshhhh … Come on, now.”
CP3 blew by Lee, but then Stephen Curry – often mocked for his lack of defense – stepped in, took a charge (wait for the :16 mark in the video), and iced the game with two free throws.

Clips make up in attitude what they lack in other areas.
