Outside of Lisk there isn’t anything here that’s any different than Deadspin.

I think the quality of writing is better at Deadspin, except for Tom Scocca, who apparently is just terrible… I’m here for the commenters. I got tsk’d by Vez for my comments earlier about some extreme McTibblery going on here, but I don’t think writing for a blog and being a decent writer should be mutually exclusive. Every time I read something by Duffy, which is usually accidentally, I get a sudden urge to stab myself in the temple with a sharp pencil.

wow. I’ve heard other people say it before, but this place really is an echo of Deadspin.

Outside of Lisk there isn’t anything here that’s any different than Deadspin. I don’t think Deadspin is perfect (The Chris Kluwe love is over the top and they have some weird takes), but they do have really good in depth stuff that this site doesn’t anymore.

Also they always have these stories first. Or Hot Clicks.

Amherst’s nickname is the Lord Jeffs. Does that mean their women’s teams are the Lady Jeffs?

Amherst’s big rival from just down the Mohawk Trail in MA, is Williams College, whose alumni include the likes of George Steinbrenner. Their sports teams are named the “Ephs”, IIRC.

I’m sure there are some rousing DIII games between the Ephs and the Jeffs.
