Tony Corrente Cursed Out One of His Fellow Officials With the Mic On

Tony Corrente was having issues figuring out when his mic was on and off, so after a previous conference the play before, yet another one cause him to drop a “goddammit” on his fellow official. He then switched off the mic to announce the penalty that no one heard.

Though I think I’d probably pay for Red Zone Channel if it was combined with Ref Channel, with all officials having live mics the whole game without them knowing. I’d love to hear those conversations.

One of my favorite parts of the 24/7s that covered the NHL Winter Classic was hearing the refs’ conversations with players and coaches. Some great exchanges.
