Alabama Beat LSU 21-17 on Last Minute T.J. Yeldon Touchdown
T.J. Yeldon scored on a 28-yard screen pass with 51 seconds remaining. Alabama edged LSU 21-17 in “Death Stadium” to stay undefeated. It was a win that left A.J. McCarron in tears. SEC partizans can breathe a sigh of relief. They should have a representative in the BCS Title Game.
Though it proved to be in a losing effort, it’s worth noting that Zach Mettenberger showed up to play, finally. He completed 69 percent of his passes for 298 yards and a touchdown against what was, perhaps, the nation’s best passing defense.

Roll fockin Tide. Hats off to mettenberger for playing better than he has all season. I was surprised they were able to run the ball as well as they did. McCarron came thru there at the end, great play call by the OC against the blitz. It was a great game. Bama was lucky to come out with a win, but I’ll take it.

You do realize that most SEC fans will think you have misspelled that, right?

bou, how did you play that game?

I believe the correct spelling is “party-zans.”

Roastbeast, didn’t touch this game. My friend is local radio personality and he had me on his show this morning and asked if I was betting the game, and I said no way. Was strictly rooting for a Bama win. Knew it would be a knock down drag out game. I told him LSU+9. Was the p,ay without a doubt. LSU has covered the last 2 games vs ALA coming of the bye week

Is that code for mentally handicapped offensive playcalling?

Bama went away from the run in the 2nd half which completely baffled me. McCarron had some chances to make some plays with passes but missed guys or poor execution. LSU Outplayed Bama in the 2nd half up until the last minute and a half.

Roastbeast, I was just telling people who were listening that LSU was the play, and I was correct. I don’t bet against my team.

The sad thing is, tomorrow all the LSU zombies will be talking about how Les kept them in it all the way and what a great job he did with L’il Rape.
Whoever said that final 45 seconds summed up Miles hit it on the head.

ah, didn’t know bama was your team.

LSU will drop at least of its last three games, and maybe two. Enjoy the holidays in Shreveport, Les!

The “Partizans” – note capitalization – were Yugoslav freedom fighters. A “partisan” is someone who supports a cause.
The standard English spelling is “partisans.”
