Three Pittsburgh Football Players Allegedly Surrounded a Guy in the Street and One of them Punched Him in the Face
Pittsburgh travels to South Bend to play unbeaten Notre Dame this weekend, and the Panthers are hoping to catch the Irish napping after their impressive win in Norman.
Except Pitt might be without three starters who inexplicably (and allegedly) surrounded a guy and then sucker punched him in the street two weeks ago. From the Post-Gazette:
In an interview with police, Mr. Olsheski said he was walking in Oakland with two women when Mr. Graham stopped him, said, “What’s up?” and uttered a racial slur. Mr. Olsheski said that he replied “nothing” and tried to leave but Mr. Graham, Mr. Street and Mr. Pitts surrounded him and then Mr. Street slugged him on the left side of the head, according to the criminal complaint.
The Panthers are 19-point underdogs, and if Graham (the team’s leading rusher (622 yards) and scorer (nine touchdowns) is suspended, it’s difficult to imagine a scenario where the Irish lose.

Take Pitt +17. They may not win, but they’ll cover that spread.
I believe teams after beating OK the week before have some some awful ATS numbers. Also, just when you think Pitt has no shot, they surprise you. And on that same not, just when you think Pitt should dominate/win, they shit the bed and lose to someone like Youngstown St

Walking in Oakland, stop right there, don’t need to go any farther.

Jesus. Graham and Street out = no chance for Pitt.
Last time this happened, the starter Rod Rutherford got suspended for the first half of the season-opener, and Joe Flacco got the start, IIRC.

Mr. Pitts plays for Pitt?
I bet Mr. Pitt roots for Pitt while slicing and dicing a Snickers bar.

Oakland, Pittsburgh… not CA

Olsheski? So I’m guessing it was cracker? Although, as we learned from the Colin Kaepernick incident, we shouldn’t assume a person’s race based on their name.

I know, I’ve been in the Oakland district before. Though I would describe Oakland CA as lot worse. A friend from work was at a conference in Oakland CA and got off at the wrong exit and things went wrong.

Really? It’s a college town. Whatever happened at that intersection is much more because of a party than because of the ‘bad section of town’. There are some sketchy parts of North Oakland when you get out towards Bloomfield, but even then, it’s not exactly the Hill, where they built a fence to keep the Black people away from campus.

It’s very annoying when the Pittsburgh media talk about Pitt athletics like they actually move the needle. I wish the football team went away forever so I wouldn’t have to hear about mediocrity anymore.

Dude we got a Chiefs post. Settle down.

Although I don’t mind going out near Oakland because it’s a street away from CMU. CMU = many Asain chicks.

You;re right I shouldn’t have used the broadstroke on that comment. I’ve been to the campus before and I knew some kids that went there as well.

Though there were a few drivebys near the Original Hot Dog Shop and the Kentacohut in my years, but for the most part, it’s really not that bad. Certainly doesn’t rate among the Homewood/Hill/Wilkinsburg sections.

Not exactly looking forward to be working there for the next 2 weeks.

My roommate got robbed at gunpoint outside our house last Christmas. The robbers were from the Hill, dudes took a bus down to our neighborhood to rob people. That’s pretty outstanding.
November 2nd, 2012 at 11:31 AM
I consider any area that’s had even one drive-by at any given time to be a bad area

I think you are all missing the larger offense here which is that Pitt offers a night class on Vampire Literature.

Damn! I was hoping it they were starters from the Steelers.

Oakland isnt that bad, but its still dumpy and shitty for being a “college town” part of a city. Did some partying in and around there in my youth.
