To be fair, he’s probably legally retarded. I listened to that for minute, and I think it made me dumber somehow. And that it’s not an athletic event is laughable. Well, at least if you’re not one of those 15min milers, they annoy us, too.

I just thought about that. A week ago, they didn’t know how widespread this would be. So what are they going to do? Cancel it with the option of uncanceling it?

I get both sides of this, I guess, competing all the time. I have no problem with them actually cancelling the race entirely, but cancelling it less than 48hrs from the gun is beyond stupid. People have paid for a lot of this stuff, are there already, are en route, or have non-refundable tickets for travel.

The loss in terms of training is annoying, but whatever, you can train through. It would be deciding this close that would set me off.

Governor Christie made the decision stating government doesn’t get involved in business decisions but if that game had hindered the relief efforts then he would have told the NFL when they spoke on Thursday to cancel it or move it to Pittsburgh. Said that they know what they are doing and it won’t affect them like a marathon would.
