ESPN Commenters Mostly Thrilled With Mike Greenberg & Mike Gangnam Style Video
Mike & Mike are the lovable buffoons (one is fat, the other is effeminate!) of ESPN Radio. Since it is almost November, they decided it was time to do a topical Gangnam Style parody video. They officially became the last people to do so. We’re done here. Goodbye Psy. We’ll always have the early Fall of 2012.
Before we go, let’s see how the ESPN commenters are handling this. I bet it is spectacular.
Yup, these are their commenters.

These are the people who will decide who is the next president.

So, other than the guy who said “Just when I thought it was impossible to hate you more” ESPN commenters are all idiots? Praise Zeus that WE have TBL for sagacious discourse of matters both social and sporting.

As Queefer or Jimmy will tell you a week from now: A majority of people in this country are morons.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:24 AM
I listen to 5 non-consecutive minutes of Mike and Mike each morning (note to ESPN suits, I’m in your 18-40 demographic, have a 45 minute commute and really like sports) and they seemed extremely pleased with some video this morning. I had no idea what they were talking about until now.
One guy is like “hey give me beer and hotdogs, amirite?” and the other guy is all “I’d prefer the quiche and champagne, fatso!”

So topical. These guys have thier fingers on the heart beat of america
October 31st, 2012 at 11:28 AM
agreed this was an awesome ‘parity.’

Why, you would-be Duffy!

We’re done here.
I’ll believe it when I don’t see a post again.

Parody in sports is good. That’s why NFL is so successful. Everyone has a shot.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:35 AM
You guys do realize that for most non-26 year olds, who don’t frequent blogs all day while they should be working (and subsequently bitching about lack of pay) this IS topical.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:35 AM
Yup, these are their commenters.
Bill Simmons’ attorneys will be contacting you shortly.

Who do you think is commenting on ESPN message boards? Fortune 500 CEOs?
October 31st, 2012 at 11:38 AM
I can’t decide if this is as topical as a weekly Tebow feature or no.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:40 AM
ESPN’s commentators have neither the cranial capacity nor the opposable digits to converse wittily about lunch or ugly eighties actresses.

yes…which is why we’re all making fun of them. congrats! you figured out the joke!
October 31st, 2012 at 11:42 AM
And yet, it appears that we are, in fact, NOT done here. Writers of TBL, I implore you to never discuss/link/feature this god-forsaken whatever-the-hell-it-is again.

Yeah. What he said.

“It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.” — Winston Churchill
/just attributed to Churchill, I doubt he actually said that

October 31st, 2012 at 11:49 AM
They’ve synchronized menses.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:50 AM

October 31st, 2012 at 11:51 AM
oh…chippy. sorry, i got golfxcited.
Had to get a new wedge last week. Went in with a plan for JUST a 58, walked out with a 52 as well. I am on a strict “leftovers” diet for the rest of the year.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:52 AM
nice…whatd you go with?
/got pissed when i blew out a tire two weeks ago…when i signed the receipt all i could think of was “well, there was my hybrid…”
October 31st, 2012 at 11:52 AM
i effing hate these assfags so much, and i hate all their fans. they really infuriate me for some reason.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:55 AM
Vokeys. And they are splendid. It’s amazing how much better my short game was the last 2 rounds I played with them.

Been like that for a couple days. Rodney King’s Pool Cleaner comes to the AM round-up to lead us in calisthenics.

party…what finish. an oil can vokey gets my panties a lil damp.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:57 AM
One of Churchill’s aides described him thusly: He has a hundred ideas a day. The trick is to find the one worthwhile idea and get him off the other 99.

classic.

realized I had a slight wrist roll on my gap wedge shots that was causing some issues there; corrected it and started chipping great, only to get greedy and start trying to fly everything right at the hole
October 31st, 2012 at 12:09 PM
For the golfers, I would like to take up this sport. Do you have recommendations for clubs or such. Obviously, I would like to stay on the lower end of the price spectrum until I am sure that I will stick with it.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:10 PM
only to get greedy and start trying to fly everything right at the hole
That’s my main problem. Oh it’s 40 yds to the hole? /hits it 42yds and bounces it off the back.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:12 PM
black douglas…check out globalgolf.com and 2ndswing.com for used clubs.
if i were you, id look at a used ping g5/10/15 driver and irons, a 20* hybrid and a 56* sand wedge. should be all you need to get started. should be able to find a driver for $50, irons for $200ish, wedge and hybrid for $100 in decent shape.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:12 PM
Guess they couldn’t get him off of Gallipoli.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:13 PM
that’s way too much shit to be going on for a chip shot.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:14 PM
Who is way more hip than the people who don’t realize Gangnam Style is past its prime? People who write blog posts about how funny it is that some people don’t yet realize that Gangnam Style is past its prime.
Mike & Mike is a mainstream show, not exclusively aimed at affluent east coast smart allecks who are already satisfied with the amount of sarcastic dancing they have already gotten out of Gangnam Style. Not everyone prefers their sports news with a healthy dose of “I am smarter than you.”

Do people still do The Dougie?

Yes, I’m sensing some dislike.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:22 PM
Yes, I’m sensing some dislike.
dislike is not correct. pure disdain for their media exestence is more like it.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:23 PM
Maybe I’m being unfair… but if someone posts a comment like this, I automatically assume whatever they have to say is moronic and I refuse to read onward. And that goes for people here as well.
I have a friend who does some hiring, and every once in a while I’ll look at the applications, and have her throw out anything without a cover page, or with any punctuation/grammar errors. I assume that for most people here, it’s a lack of caring because it’s the internet and not a lack of education, but I do wish people cared more about the words and context associated with their names and output.
Yes, I judge people on usage and grammar. Even on the internet.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:25 PM
In short… I wouldn’t mind if y’all watched where you put your fucking apostrophes a little more carefully.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:26 PM
Cover page? I assumed nobody did them anymore.
October 31st, 2012 at 12:30 PM
I just the idea of someone with the alias “Queefer Sutherland” complaining about the average American’s intelligence.

I may have been terrible in English class during my high school career, but I would have dominated your mind in a mathematical equation contest back in the day.
/I forget everything now
October 31st, 2012 at 12:35 PM
I will ignore a resume without a cover page. If it’s an email (which many are, and that’s okay), at least need a nice format “dear ___, I want this job, why i want this job; xoxo, WWoS” with a resume ATTACHED, not copy-pasted.

October 31st, 2012 at 12:43 PM
How do I know what length to get? And thanks for the suggestions!
October 31st, 2012 at 12:52 PM
agreed.
get the clubs first and then they can be fit to you by a club guy…or check out ping’s website for their color code and get the irons with that dot.
take it slow tho…really, youd be fine with just irons, a wedge and a putter at first.

Cool, I have a driving range a couple of blocks from my house. I may just give it a go this weekend.
