Kevin Garnett Ignored Ray Allen, Faked an Elbow at Mario Chalmers’ Head [Video]
Ray Allen made his Miami debut last night against his former team, the Boston Celtics. Before checking into the game, Allen went over to the Celtics’ bench to say hello to all his old friends. One person who did not extend a welcoming arm was Kevin Garnett who kept his eyes fixed forward and didn’t acknowledge his former teammate. After the game, Allen said that Garnett probably just didn’t see him. Sure. That had to be some politicking by Allen because he has only been gone for a few months and I can’t believe he forgot that Garnett is an asshole.

Fuck Ray Allen

I see nothing wrong here, personally. Some people complain about athlete’s being too casual, too buddy/buddy with opponents and not taking the game seriously enough. Well, he’s intense to a fault, but it’s not about Ray Allen the person, it’s about Ray Allen the new Miami Heat guard…..who took less money for the same role on a rival team.

After the game, Allen said that Garnett probably just didn’t see him.
Not true. After the game he smiled and said “That’s just KG being KG.”

… … … LOVE GUN!

In reality, it was a good move for Ray and the Celtics are probably a better team with Terry/Lee but it still left a mark. Who knows, maybe Rondo is as difficult to play with as some players have led us to believe in the past, but he’s a once-in-a-generation kind of player and guys should feel lucky to share the court with him.

HE ACTUALLY SAID BOTH OF THESE THINGS

I’m enjoying hearing Boston fans badmouth one of the classiest, hardest working guys around. Way to go.
Ray Allen was smart enough to know that he’s dealing with a spoiled, petulant child and didnt even look for a hand, went straight to the back pat.

I just read that too, he knows he was dissed. I can’t get over how much of a little bitch he acted like during the summer. If Doc has to make public comments about you than you know something is up.

I agree. Austin Rivers is going to suck.
October 31st, 2012 at 9:59 AM
Why? He played for the Bucks (7 years) and Sonics (4 years) before the Celtics (5 years).
I hate the Heat as much as anyone, but they are a better team than the Celtics and are more likely to win a championship in the next few years, which will be the last of his career. Welcome to pro sports.

Hey, I heard the Lakers lost.

All well and good, but from what I’ve head the primary reason he left because they didn’t show him enough “love” and make him feel wanted enough.

Yes, fuck them too.

The majority opinion here is that, yes, everyone knows that Ray is overall a class act, and he was an important part of the Celtics recent success. That said, he has still been a whiny, spurned, petulant little bitch all summer. The two things are not mutually exclusive.

The Heat are better than everyone because the NBA is a bullshit league. Nice pay structure.
/at least they have a competent commissioner though
October 31st, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Love? They traded him to Memphis 8 months ago and it fell apart. Maybe he didnt want to get shipped to Milwaukee halfway through this season.
October 31st, 2012 at 10:07 AM
Good. I like seeing some hatred between players. I’m not a fan of the AAU culture of all these younger players being buddy buddy with hugs before and after games.
October 31st, 2012 at 10:08 AM
This is exactly true. Welcome to Pro Sports Ray, where if the Celtics can improve by trading you for OJ Mayo or starting Avery Bradley over you so be it.
October 31st, 2012 at 10:10 AM
That has been debatable the last ten years. The Hurricane Sandy/Katrina misquote was Mayor Meninoesque as well
October 31st, 2012 at 10:12 AM
I can’t believe Mike Brown is still coaching the Lakers, he has no clue how to put talent together. Can a team be considered a finals threat if its likely to fire the head coach mid-season?
October 31st, 2012 at 10:14 AM
Just go away KG
October 31st, 2012 at 10:16 AM
They are 3rd in team payroll. They were 3rd last year too.
October 31st, 2012 at 10:17 AM
The dude is on a roll. Don’t interupt.
October 31st, 2012 at 10:18 AM
So when he is a free agent and decides to play for another team that is doing something wrong? He went to the situation that he felt was best for him. He went to a team where he will never hear trade rumors or have the possibility of being traded. All Ray Allen did was go someplace where he was wanted. If you think the Celtics signing Jason Terry before Allen had even decided wasn’t a slap in the face then I don’t know what to tell you.
October 31st, 2012 at 10:22 AM
They didn’t improve. They’re not as good defensively as they used to be
October 31st, 2012 at 10:25 AM
I love how you know exactly what is true. Do you know all these guys personally?
October 31st, 2012 at 10:49 AM
No, only met Avery Bradley who was a douche.
But the Celtics offered him 2 years at $12 million, while Terry just got half of the mid level exception. So they offered him more money and less years. So Ray’s not exactly making a business decision there.
October 31st, 2012 at 10:55 AM
He made a personal and professional decision. He didn’t want to be on the team anymore, and I don’t blame him and you should get over it.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:01 AM
thanks for the advise.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:02 AM
Ray likes winning championships. Who can blame him.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:04 AM
No one listens to him anyway, he’s completely useless — plus the players have no respect for him. Hey! The Heat won their first championship when PR took over halfway through the season.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:08 AM
Still just waiting for the day someone just up and beats KG’s punk ass. It will be so great. Maybe it can be Dexter Pittman.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:17 AM
Garnett already in mid-season asshole form.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:26 AM
for the dipshit who said “go away KG” i don’t think you realize just how great this man is. maybe not so much when your an opponent of his but when you play with him you understand the professional that he is and how he is just a very hungry man who asks for nothing but the best of those around him (and of himself)
October 31st, 2012 at 11:28 AM
That’s not going to happen. He is very careful. He only goes after people that he is 100% certain that he can bully. You really think he pulls the same crap against Metta World or Stephen Jackson that he does against Chalmer or European players?
October 31st, 2012 at 11:31 AM
And if the best of him is 3 fucking rebounds when they need him the most, so be it!
Is it hard to type with his cock in your hand?
October 31st, 2012 at 11:31 AM
Huh? Given their additions, I’d assume they were better.
October 31st, 2012 at 11:36 AM
If by “great” you mean that he taunts, ridicules and bullies weaker and younger players, then I suppose I could concede that he’s pretty “great” at that. And just to clarify, a serial bully such as KG is just about the most pathetic level low character that a human can achieve.

I thought this entire post was just being sarcastic…
