Dallas Cowboys Lose Another Close One to the Giants, Thanks to Turnovers, Jason Garrett, and Dez Bryant’s Long Fingers
Dallas had an inspired comeback after falling behind 23-0 at home due to turnovers. In the end, it was turnovers that crushed their hopes again. Dallas came all the way back to take a 24-23 lead. After the Giants regained the lead, Felix Jones had a horrific fumble at midfield carrying the ball like, well, loafs of bread are transported better. After the Giants extended it to a 5 point lead, Dallas still staged a drive that could have won the game.
Jason Witten was everywhere, making insane catches, routine catches and everything in between (17 catches).
Then, they got to a 2nd and 1, all three timeouts in hand, inside the 20. Pass, ridiculous pass, pass where the entire line collapsed and Romo got intercepted when he had to try a desperation heave from 20 yards back. Jason Garrett is a mad genius, though, because he was saving those timeouts to get the ball back after the interception.
Dallas got in Giant territory again, where Dez Bryant made an amazing catch, but his hand hit out of bound. Giants survive.

that was awful.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:02 PM
I mean, fuck the Cowboys and all, but that was brutal. I actually feel bad for them.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:02 PM
Didn’t count, but that Bryant catch in the end zone was impressive. If he ever learns to pay attention to his craft, he could be great.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:05 PM
Anyone watching walking dead right now?
October 28th, 2012 at 8:07 PM
This bitch can’t sing. And Walking Dead doesn’t start till 9.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:10 PM
It’s on right now, unless I, behind on episodes? The old mans leg has been cut off and they’ve met up with 5 former prisoners who were locked up no the cafeteria. Am I behind? I’m prob am. Sorry if I am
October 28th, 2012 at 8:11 PM
Just wait till Carl skull fucks those prisoners. It’s epic man.

So I think Kevin Gilbride just made the best case ever for an offensive coordinator to be fired for winning a football game. Really 6 turnovers and it comes down to a video reversal of a cowboys touchdown? Three turnovers deep in Dallas territory and 9 points to show for it? Getting the ball with 1 min left and needing a 1st down to ice it and you run 3 times????? Wanna know why Eli is so good at 4th quarter comebacks? It’s because Gilbride puts him in that position constantly
October 28th, 2012 at 8:12 PM
I’m no Cowboys fan, but WTF is Jason Garrett doing? This man is an idiot. 3rd and 1, driving for the game winning score, he calls a heave to the endzone? You basically have 2 chances to run the ball for a yard, get a new set of downs. At least call a short sideline route or screen if you’re gonna pass there.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:16 PM
Garrett is done. Gruden will be coach in 2013.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:17 PM
So much talent on that cowboys team. Is it coaching or execution at critical times of the game?
October 28th, 2012 at 8:18 PM
Who cares? Fuck the Cowboys.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:19 PM
I feel like it’s a little of both.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:20 PM
remember when Garrett iced his own kicker last year? That was the best.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:21 PM
That reversal saved my ass, and wallet. Fuck you Cowboys.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:22 PM
Reid & Garrett are both gone by the end of the year. Can’t wait for the Cowboys to hire the shitty Gruden, and the Eagles to hire the good Gruden.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:22 PM
Love me some Faith.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:23 PM
That sounds like something sparano would have done at MIA. Garrett at one time was considered a young talent, he was the OFF Coord at time at MIA
October 28th, 2012 at 8:24 PM
I remember when he was playing, basically every single week the announcers talked about how he was going to be a great coach some day.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:24 PM
I love Calvin Johnson. But Jesus Christ. He had 3 drops today. One could have cost them the game. Had another bad drop and I don’t blame him for the other because Hillbilly almost got him killed with another high pass.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:25 PM
As long as she doesn’t talk, I can watch her strut around all day. Tim’s a lucky man
October 28th, 2012 at 8:28 PM
How much longer does Norv? It can’t be longer than a few weeks.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:29 PM
You do any good on your picks this week, Caribou? I broken even and won a few bucks. Saints could win me another 14. I missed by big card by one game, but breaking even a few on the side is better than nothing.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:29 PM
Sorry Meth to hear about your misfortune, I missed my 1pm parlay and said fock it for the rest of the afternoon. Already in the hole this weekend, didn’t want to compound it. I did got lucky in valley forge casino this weekend, won a 42″ Panasonic HDTV during their hourly drawing. That was my big win for the weekend.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:29 PM
AJ and Norv are gonna be a package deal firing at the end of the season.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:30 PM
Norv is totally gonna take one of the SEC coaching vacancies.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:32 PM
I didn’t pay much attention to the 0-16 Lions team from a few years ago, but I have a hard time believing they were actually worse than this Chiefs team. 4 turnovers, muffing a punt right before half with the game tied then giving up a TD, offside on a missed field goal that is then made, not leading for a single second of game time after 7 games. The Brady Quinn era lasted about a quarter (2/4, 1 yd and an INT – awesome). I’m pretty sure Alabama, Oregon, and K State could all beat the Chiefs. Never been this frustrated or embarrassed as a sports fan.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:33 PM
Shoulda already happened after the Broncos loss. You woulda had a bye week to install a new HC. But, nooooooooo.
Can’t wait for the changes. New GM, new HC, a new QB (hopefully sooner rather than later).
October 28th, 2012 at 8:34 PM
Sounds like the Lions THIS YEAR.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:34 PM
Oh, and how could I forget: fumbling the snap on the first play of the third quarter.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:35 PM
The Chiefs would probably beat the Cardinals.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:35 PM
The Lions turned the ball over 3 times in the redzone last week. Suck on that. And muffed multiple punts and had like 16 penalties.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:37 PM
The Cardinals have allowed 29 sacks in there last 4 games.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:39 PM
You’re making that up.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:40 PM
100% truth
8 to Miami
7 to STL
6 to Buffalo
7 to Min
I might have Buffalo and Minnesota backwards
October 28th, 2012 at 8:43 PM
And what is the Lions record? The Chiefs can’t even get in the redzone. Their last two offensive TDs game a month apart and were both meaningless garbage time scores. They have lost fumbles twice this year on 1st and goal from the 1 yd line. You just like to complain about the Lions but there is no real comparison.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:44 PM
Arizona needs a QB bad. You can have Kellen Moore for a 7th rounder. I was watching a Lions pregame show. And they were interviewing Lojack. In the background was Moore with his shirt off. Pasty white and fat. No muscle or tone at all. He looked worse than Brady’s combine pic. Much worse.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:44 PM
i take it back:
8 to Miami
9 to STL
5 to Buf
7 to Min
October 28th, 2012 at 8:45 PM
Oh and fuck Jamal Charles. Thanks for 1 pt today jerkoff.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:46 PM
The o-line may not be great, but both Skelton and Kolb hold the ball way too long.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:47 PM
O Line is a much bigger need. Currently the Cards hav the 2 worst starting Tackles in thr NFL. QBs are servicable if they had more than a half second to let a play develop. Lat week Minnesota sacked Skelton 7 times without sending more than 4 people a single time all game.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:47 PM
Thursday night is chiefs vs chargers? Thank goodness for the NBA
October 28th, 2012 at 8:48 PM
Skelton and Kolb hold the ball way too long.Won’t argue that, but part of he problem is the play calls are longer developing pass plays and there isn’t time for WRs to get open. Skelton is worse than Kolb too.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:48 PM
The Chiefs have no ability to stretch the field so teams just stop the run and force Bratt Quinassel to try to beat them. JCharles, Derrick Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, Brandon Flowers, Tamba Hali…their talent is wasted on this shit show.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:48 PM
Still hard to believe that the Chiefs pulled off a victory vs New Orleans and in the Dome no less.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:49 PM
I had got no pts in my league from him. I’m going to lose this week because of that
October 28th, 2012 at 8:51 PM
Crennel v. Turner! Cassel v. Rivers! The corpse of Antonio Gates running roughshod over Eric Berry! Can the Chiefs actually get a lead this season? Which coach has the better “utter befuddlement” facial expression? (Trick question, Romeo Crennel is incapable of facial expression).
The story lines are endless.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:52 PM
Peyton might not have the zip on the ball he used to have, but it’s still nice to watch him sling the pigskin around.
October 28th, 2012 at 8:58 PM
Try having Eli as your QB today.
October 28th, 2012 at 9:04 PM
I’m sorry, man. I don’t know what else I can do.
October 28th, 2012 at 9:13 PM
Dinger by Miggy.
October 28th, 2012 at 9:15 PM
At some point people Will realize the cowboys just aren’t that talented. Getting tired of hearing that crap.
October 28th, 2012 at 9:40 PM
Oh and fuck Jamal Charles. Thanks for 1 pt today jerkoff.
That’s not on Charles. He has to have plays called for him. Sometimes plays don’t work but you keep going back and calling his number. He had what, 10 touches today? That’s on the play calling.
/I’m a Raiders fan but that game was disgusting on all levels.
October 28th, 2012 at 9:41 PM
Just read the article on ESPN talking about the Jets Dolphins game. Rex said this game was one outcome he just couldn’t accept. Why not? The win they got from Miami earlier this year was gift wrapped with a bow and fucking handed to them by the Dolphins. They should not have won that game.
