World Series Game 3: Giants Look to Take Commanding Series Lead
The San Francisco Giants take a 2-0 lead into the Detroit on Saturday night with Ryan Vogelsong taking the mound opposite Anibal Sanchez.
The story for this one? The weather. It is cold in Detroit, with temperatures expected to drop into the low 30s. Both teams will have heaters in their respective dugouts. Pablo Sandoval and several other Giants were even seen wearing hooded sweatshirts and parkas during a team workout. This should prove to be a spirited talking point for Joe Buck and Tim McCarver throughout the course of the evening.
The Giants appear to be in an excellent position for this one. In three postseason starts, Vogelsong has pitched 19 innings and allowed just three runs. But Sanchez has also pitched very well in October, giving up two runs over 13-1/3 innings. So let’s pretend to be excited about a potential pitcher’s duel while pretending that our focus isn’t entirely on the Notre Dame-Oklahoma game.

When the Irish fall behind 28-0, i think the baseball chatter will begin.
That’s also assuming Alabama is having no trouble with Miss St…

When the inevitable ratings post comes, just know I have the ND/Oklahoma game on tv and World Series on my computer because they had the better stream.

A crap sports night all around. No competitive games. And this World Series has been a huge disappointment. Tigers have yet to hold a lead at any point. Terrible.
