Marcus Lattimore Suffered a Gruesome Leg Injury
All, College Football, Video October 27th. 2012, 2:08pm
South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore suffered a nasty looking leg injury. If you watch the video, there’s not much more that needs to be said. This looks like it will be the second season-ending injury in a row. Terrible luck.

That’s soccer injury bad.

Really not nice to say that he flopped, Duffy.

At least he’ll have that all important college education to fall back on. Nothing says future job security like a half ass social sciences degree with a minor in co-ed sampling.

that looked far worse than mcgahee’s.

They keep showing this fucking injury too. I can’t take that shit. I feel horrible for the kid. Hopefully it’s just a busted wheel.

ha!

Thought the same. With the way his leg is flopping, that’s ACL, MCL, and PCL destruction.

Worst knee injury I’ve ever seen.

Napoleon McCallum still leads the pack for me.

Duffy…you picked the wrong week to get off kansas…
October 27th, 2012 at 3:40 PM
a lil different, but tyrone prothro’s was bad too.

The look on the poor kid’s face may have been worse than the injury. That instant look of shock. Just so hard to watch.
October 27th, 2012 at 4:13 PM
10/10. You can see the damage and the sweet, sweet tears.
October 27th, 2012 at 4:17 PM
awful.

Babar I still remember where I was when I saw that injury. It still makes me ill to think about it. The worst thing I have ever seen…
October 27th, 2012 at 4:53 PM
Yeah, that’s gruesome, but I don’t think it’s a knee injury. That looks to me (and obviously I’m just some asshole who could only stomach seeing that shit twice) like two twisted and broken lower leg bones.
October 27th, 2012 at 5:05 PM
I’m the same way. Accidentally saw it twice. I think it looks like he shattered his leg too. But, I’m just another asshole on my couch, so who knows.
October 27th, 2012 at 5:14 PM
you guys with your “worst thing I’ve ever seen” business.
Don’t you remember EJ Henderson two years ago, doing this exactly same thing, but above the knee, and then doing a cartwheel with a floppy leg?
Or Tim Krumrie in the second Cincy/San Fran Superbowl, doing a full sideways roll?
Or the big dude Bryant from the 49ers who took the crown of the helmet to the shin, and the shin lost, and his leg shattered backwards?
Or Joe Theismann, or Greg Bell? If you’ve watched football long enough, you’ve seen this exact thing 50 times.

Looks like the knee was dislocated and popped back in on the field.

I’m going to watch this one more time and diagnosis. Since I know anatomy and whatnot.
/Watches video.
The video ends with, “Hopefully, we’ll watch him run out of this tunnel.” And then it ends. That is unfortunate.
Also, I will not rule out Clay’s diagnosis. That leg was really floppy. Not sure on the dislocated knee theory. A knee is held together much different than a shoulder.

Just watched the video filmed from the view of the backfield. That’s a fibula/tibia.
October 27th, 2012 at 5:55 PM
Could be a proximal tib-fib. Looked to me when I saw it live that a trainer popped it back in on the field.
October 27th, 2012 at 7:27 PM
only watched it once, but it looked sad.
/worse than PSU donor sad

I just read a tweet and a retweet that said he had a broken femur AND tore all 4 ligaments, making this the worst knee injury ever. my apologies to all of you for my doubts
October 27th, 2012 at 10:33 PM
Sucks that this happened to him in particular. Shudda happened to Isaiah Crowell or Honey Badger.

dieget injured young.
