Tim Tebow is the Most Overrated Player in the NFL! (Mark Sanchez is the Second-Most Overrated)
Tim Tebow an Mark Sanchez are overrated and I finally have proof. Per what? Per science! Sports Illustrated recently polled NFL players on the most overrated player in the league and a resounding 34% chose Tim Tebow.
Mark Sanchez, the guy starting ahead of Tebow, was second, tied with Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo with 8% of the votes. It’s surprising that people still find time to overrate Romo these days. In fact, I’d say Romo is underrated. Especially when it comes to being overrated.

I thought everyone agreed that Sanchez sucks, how is he overrated?
October 26th, 2012 at 2:29 PM
Instead of wasting time talking about Tebow and Sanchez shouldn’t we take some time to celebrate true greatness? I’ll start:
You know who’s really great? Tom Brady. What a great, great man.

Epic photo insert. Was the scanner broken today?
October 26th, 2012 at 2:32 PM
Seems like the players are saying those two get too much credit for their teams success.
October 26th, 2012 at 2:33 PM
I am deeply offended at the homophobic results of this poll.
October 26th, 2012 at 2:35 PM
Agreed, I’d replace Sanchez with Jay Cutler on my ballot
October 26th, 2012 at 2:35 PM
you know who’s not overrated? haloti ngata. that dude’s pretty fuckin’ good.
October 26th, 2012 at 2:36 PM
He really really really sucks.
October 26th, 2012 at 2:37 PM
Phil Rivers should be top 5, if anyone still thinks he’s any good. Romo’s the universal tragic “well, he does the best he can with what he has” guy isn’t he?

This is no surprise to me. NFL players probably confuse talking-heads talking about Sanchez-Tebow with caliber of play.
The talking-heads talking are doing just that. They are not talking about their talents. All sizzle and no substance.
NFL talk is becoming as inane as NHL talk.
How can two players who are rated near the bottom of their position peers be OVER-rated?
October 26th, 2012 at 2:40 PM
Phil Rivers should be top 5
Rivers should be the top guy after Tebow. People seem to think he’s good even though he’s done very little despite having solid to very good defenses and offensive skill players his whole career.

Sports Illustrated recently polled NFL players
There are 1696 guys on 53 man rosters at any given time. If you add in PS guys, IR guys, and pros between jobs at the moment, you can probably get to 2000 pretty easy.
The polled 180 guys. It’s probably a statistically valid poll, and the results are fine, but they didn’t send a questionnaire to every player on every team.

Sometimes I think that, and then Romo will launch a 3rd down pass right into the defense.

ROGER GOODELL IS NOT A PLAYER, SCOTT FUJITA…STOP VOTING FOR HIM.

what the guy doesn’t do well – accept the negative result. He plays a lot of Hero Ball.
October 26th, 2012 at 2:44 PM
Hillbily Stafford should be getting ripped much harder than Cam Newton.

We talking about Brett Favre in here?
October 26th, 2012 at 2:46 PM
And I don’t think it’s at a Favreian level. I think a lot of it has to do with his team underperforming, making stupid mistakes on the field (or on the sidelines) and he is trying to hard to make up for it.

Because they get paid more money than much more productive QBs?

October 26th, 2012 at 2:55 PM
He’s not overrated except in his own mind. Everyone else thinks he sucks.
October 26th, 2012 at 2:55 PM
BRANDON WEEDEN
How can he be overrated if no one outside of Cleveland expected him to be good in the NFL in the first place.
October 26th, 2012 at 2:56 PM
we didnt expect him to be good either…i just felt like he should be mentioned. ol doopy pantz.

How can two players who are rated near the bottom of their position peers be OVER-rated?
your problem is with the stupidness of the word overrated, not this poll. I also hate the nebulous rating system that allows people to be over or under rated depending on your need for a stupid argument.
Or for a movie to be underrated, because you like it.
October 26th, 2012 at 3:05 PM
Outstanding.
October 26th, 2012 at 3:06 PM
Could be worse, you could have John Skelton and/or Kevin Kolb running your 2 minute drill.
October 26th, 2012 at 3:08 PM
Flacco sucks.
Agreed. But I’d still rather have him that jackass Rivers.
October 26th, 2012 at 3:17 PM
If any team ever moves to Thunder Bay, that would be an excellent name for them.

They do???
They both make more money than Brady, P & E Manning, Breese, Rodgers, Smith, Ryan, Bradford, Vick, Cutler, Rivers, Romo, Stafford, and Roethlesberger??
I will assume that the 5 rookies who start at QB don’t make more because of the new CBA agreement.
They might make more money than Kolb, Quinn, Freeman, Newton, Gabbert, Schaub, Dalton, Fitzgerald, Flacco, and Palmer.
Really???
October 26th, 2012 at 3:19 PM
if this team doesn’t play in the Thunderdome, im holding a protest.

Their mascot will be a highly effeminate Thor, God(des) of Thunder.

or a thor that obviously is just going thru the motions and acting like a cunt…tho that might be a lil too subtle.

You know what’s overrated? Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Choclate chip ice cream can holds its own. Why add the mint?

You know what’s overrated? Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Choclate chip ice cream can holds its own. Why add the mint?
The first part is a judgment call but the second part, the logic, fails. That’s like saying ice cream can stand up on its own why add whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Reddi Whip and Hershey’s should just shut down those operations now.
October 26th, 2012 at 3:26 PM
You know what’s overrated? Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. Choclate chip ice cream can holds its own. Why add the mint?
You’ve got it backwards. Chocolate chip is not chocolaty enough and is essentially vanilla ice cream with indistinguishable frozen nuggets. The mint is required. for a full flavor spectrum b/c vanilla just can’t carry the load.

While mint choc chip is not even in my top ten, I can’t agree with this statement.
And by the way, adding broccoli to mac n’ cheese is quite good.
