It really wasn’t that weird for me the first time. I think because I only went to the OB as a student. And I have tailgated at Sun Life forever for other events. Plus, once you buy the big beers inside and get a few of those in you, you don’t care.

trent richardson was not better 3 years ago than ingram. if you start down that road, lacy will be better than richardson and yeldon will eventually be better than lacy.

this trend will continue until saban chooses or is forced to leave and the recruiting wheel slows.

Against the spread, DBs need to tackle and not blow assignments. It becomes attrition, who will make more mistakes. The OSU DB have been sketchy at these two items.

This kills me because OSU wrote the book on playing throwing spread teams 10 years ago. It’s the bend but don’t break philosphy – keep things in front of you and wrap up. They murdered Mike Prices’s Washington State squad and Mike Leach’s Texas Tech squad doing just that.

it’s not the spread that kills defenses, it’s the pace of the plays. you can’t sub, you can’t adjust and it doesn’t matter what you do since one guy’s getting read. the only way to stop it consistently is beat teams up front with superior DL, but even then, bubble screens and screens beat that.

It’s a cliche, but you have to put teams behind down and distance on first down. 2nd and 8 is a lot different than 2nd and 4.
