According to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, the Dallas Cowboys fear that linebacker and defensive captain Sean Lee may need season ending surgery for a big toe injury. Lee left the Carolina game, and after the game was unable to wear his dress shoes, and was on crutches.

Sean Lee has been one of the Cowboys best defensive players and is the signal caller at inside linebacker. His presence in pass coverage in front of the secondary would be sorely missed if this report is true.
