Comparing WV and Oregon (which I think is what you’re kinda doing here) is not where I’d go here. WV is not as complete a team as the Ducks. I think Oregon – KSU would be a good game, but kill? Not likely.

But, I’m still curious what happens if Oregon and bama meet for the champ game. I’m guessing Oregon learned a bit when they lost to Auburn (big D line and solid overall defense) and would approach the game against a similar defense differently.

Team A plays 3 AQ teams, goes 2-1.
Team B play 3 non-AQ teams and goes 3-0.
Team C plays 1 AQ and 2 non-AQ (replaced a 2nd AQ with non-AQ) goes 3-0.
Who gets the nod?

Not the team that didn’t have the balls to show up.

The Maryland/NC State game had the most Edsall ending possible. Terps burned some freshman QBs redshirt in the last 30 seconds of a game they trailed by two with the ball on their own 20. Against all possible odds he leads the team into chip-shot FG range with five seconds left. With the ball centered right between the hashes the kicker boots it off the post to lose.
