When Giants reliever Clay Hensley played for the Marlins last season, he was lucky enough to befriend a praying mantis and allow his hat to serve as a choice seat for the affable green insect.

On Sunday night in Game 6 of the NLCS, Hensley’s head was at it again, this time playing the role of bongos along with the head of Matt Cain, much to the delight of hairy closer Brian Wilson. Or were they serving as bobbleheads? Whatever it was, this is the kind of thing that takes place in a dugout, playoffs or not, when you’re up by five runs.
