Michael Ballack Arrested in Spain For Excessive Speeding at 131MPH
Spanish police arrested former Germany star and ESPN pundit Michael Ballack for reckless driving and excessive speeding. Ballack, sober, was pulled over in his Audi A7 going 131MPH in a 75MPH zone. Anything above 125mph is considered a “danger to the road safety of others.”
The recently retired midfielder could face up to a $13,000 fine and could lose his driver’s license for two and a half years. Having your driver’s license revoked? A mild embarrassment, but nowhere near having this exist on YouTube.

I’m still pissed at the shitty way the German FA treated him. He deserved better.

Sounds reasonable. I wanna do 125.

Is this the guy that could barely put three consecutive words in a row without stuttering, stopping and making the rest of the analysts openly want to kill him? During the Euros I think.

Yeah, that was embarrassing, I must admit.

My father always tells the story of when he got caught doing 130-something in his youth and he didn’t even lose his license. Or when he got pulled over after having too much to drink, and the cop escorted him home and told him to have a good night. The 70s sure were a different time.

What? You mean putting someone on camera with no broadcast experience in his 2nd language didn’t go seamlessly?

Once you get used to driving in Germany I’d imagine it’s really hard to remember to follow speed limits for at least a few years

I knew nothing of him. I was trying to follow and it was apparent he knew he was bad and was self-conscious of it.

Still better than Kasey Keller.
Phillip Lahm is better at getting pulled over.

one of the dumbest things i did was the time cops drove me to where i was headed bc i sorta passed the field test. had a buncha fries and milkshake at a Wag’s with my drinking buddy, who then dropped me at my car and I drove home about an hour after being stopped. not that the cops didn’t have my info or knew where we left the car

I am currently full from lunch, but still craving something sweet. This is why Americans are fat.

Michael thought he was on the autobahn. Sorry bud, it’s an autopista in Spain.

those are some awesome traffic laws. Let’s get those instituted in the states.

The A7 has speed limit detection, but I’m guessing it didn’t much matter to him.

Watched part of USMNT-Guatamala the other night. Has Bradley always looked like Billy Corgan might after getting his head stuck in a vise? I truly can’t remember.
