Jason Pierre-Paul and Osi Umenyiora Are Talking a Lot About “Sir” Robert Griffin III
The Giants are on top of the football world after their victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Jason Pierre-Paul has warned Robert Griffin III to “go the other way” and not bring the ball to his side. Of course, if it goes to the other side, it may be toward Osi Umenyiora. Umenyiora doesn’t want him coming his way either.
Osi Umenyiora called the Washington quarterback “Bob” in the preseason, and now has bestowed knighthood upon him.
“His name is Sir. His name is Sir Robert Griffin,” Umenyiora said today. “That is what I refer to him now. I mean, look at what he’s done. Look at the way he’s performed as a rookie. You don’t see players come into the league and perform like that at that stage in their career, so all the respect in the world goes to him, and he is a phenomenal football player.”
Umenyiora tried to downplay Pierre-Paul’s comments, saying he doesn’t want Griffin coming toward him either.
Meanwhile, fellow rookie Alfred Morris is standing up for his quarterback and not afraid to fire back. “I laugh at it,” says Redskins rookie running back Alfred Morris. “No disrespect to him, but talk is cheap. That’s why everyone can afford it.”
At least we don’t have offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride having the opposing coach wanting to punch him this week. It’s kind of amazing that the Redskins have gone this far into the season without a NFC East division matchup yet. Robert Griffin III versus the Giants should be entertaining on Sunday. Seems like a good old fashion grudge match already.

Sir Bob Griffin III, Lord of All the Indigenous Peoples of the Potomac Region, is such a phenomenal football player that he apparently can take on an entire team by himself.

I just had went to the AT&T store over my bill. I think there might be a class action case here.
So, I got a new phone and changed my plan slightly last month, was told it shouldn’t change my bill much. Get the bill and it’s almost double. I changed a few days into the new billing cycle, so what they did is (a) charge me for the entire bill under my old plan, while at same time (b) prorating my new plan and charging for that as well. I believe what they do is then eventually refund back the overcharge from the previous plan, which you are obviously not using anymore.
Went to store, talked to employee (nicely), then called corporate line. They tried to explain it to me. I told her that they had two options. 1–they could correct the bill now, and I would pay what I truly owed, or 2–I would pay what they are currently saying I need to pay, and I would immediately file an online complaint with the attorney general’s office for a fraudulent business practice. Within a minute, I had my bill changed.
Guessing most people go along with this and AT&T gets time value of money for a month while in essence double billing for two different plans over same period of time.

I bet most people wait a month for the refund, then paid the previous and current months together. That’s what I would do.

Redskins are gonna get destroyed this weekend. Welcome to your first real NFC East game RG3
/still think he’s awsome and gonna own the NFC East for years to come

Call Lisk, he’s ragin’ at AT&T and ready to talk.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:37 PM
Thet’s right nice of ya.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:37 PM
Also, AT&T? No wonder you don’t post more often, you probably never get the emails TBL sends you.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:38 PM
Sapp talks too much. Now so do these Giants. I had them down as dominating the Skins. No more. Never a good sign when players get arrogant. SKins will upset Giants.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:38 PM
That CB for dallas too right?
October 18th, 2012 at 3:38 PM
Lisk, did I miss the fantasy post of the week? along the same lines, is there a reason you don’t put any defense picks in there? I usually try to just play match ups week to week and I’m having a tough time this week. I’m leaning Oakland at home against Jax, but Oakland D is pretty awful.

ESPN is the worst.

disregarding those ebonic, this is a football post, Jason Lisk. But if we’re going off topic, I’ve got a hunting/property border skirmish a-brewin’ that I’d like the group to hear.
p.s. how much is your bill? We pay 70 bucks a month for my wife to keep an iphone in her pocket with the ringer off

That CB for dallas too right?
Good player. Valuable player.

I got a note card for some road side assistance charge that AT&T got class actioned over. They were charging people and double charging people for this service. I fortunately was not one who was charged because I forgot about the card and noticed it after the available rebate date.
At&T sucks so much balls. They were the first cell phone company I had, but I left because they suck. But I made the mistake of going to Cingular. I liked them, but then AT&T bought them. Then they roped me in with the phone upgrades.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:41 PM
I now imagine Lisk making the call dressed like William Jennings Bryan and going on about not being a “big city lawya” before making the threat in a grandfatherly tone
October 18th, 2012 at 3:41 PM
False. Skins swept the vaG-Men with Rex twice last year, why won’t they do better with black Jesus?

on topic, man i wish Cleveland had had a chance to pony up a second rounder, and they had Bob Griffin. Anybody but the redskins.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:44 PM
if you mean both scoring in the 30s, then I agree.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:44 PM
Back when BlackBerry existed it was standard Verizon practice for them to automatically sign people up for the business server which cost extra even though you opt out of it and they would say it will automatically come off, it doesn’t come off, you have to go back in and cancel it. They would do that hoping people didn’t notice, and I bet a lot did.
We’ve sued AT&T several times.
You’ll get a 25$ gift card to their online store.

Cowboys fan? I’d be mad too having to face him twice a year for the next 15 or so seasons.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:45 PM
Defenses are way too volatile to really give much though to. Top 5 this past week were the Broncos, Jets, Giants, TB, Bills (!!!). But yeah just go with matchups unless you have the Bears or Niners.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:46 PM
Why is it the lawyers are the only ones who seem to pocket any real money in class-action settlements?
October 18th, 2012 at 3:46 PM
Cowboys fan? I’d be mad too having to face him twice a year for the next 15 or so seasons.
it’s not just that. I also have to root against him at least 10 times a year, besides having to watch him do his thing about Rob Ryan’s patented “break but don’t bend” defensive scheme.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:50 PM
The Niners D/ST has not been that good in terms of fantasy points this year. Their scoring in my league for the first 6 weeks: 2, 4, 1, 29, 12, -1.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:51 PM
Because they’re assholes.
The number of six figure checks I’ve seen come in here from suing ice cream companies that aren’t actually “all natural” is staggering. I fucking hate lawyers.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:54 PM
I’m starting Oakland this week after losing out on Green Bay in the waiver wire bidding. But they played decently against the Falcons last week so I think they might do well against Gabbert.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:56 PM
kind of the philosophy I was thinking as well. I’m looking at Buffalo at home against Tenn as well, but Buffalo is pretty terrible too. I’m thinking Jax heading cross country is a tough match-up, not to mention the booger eater at QB for Jax.

Yes, JPP seems to be the most well known.
October 18th, 2012 at 3:59 PM
Hey, who would you guys start? Morris against the Giants or Ridley against the Jets?
October 18th, 2012 at 4:00 PM
Meh, let’s see how Bob does against the best DE in football. That Redskins O-line is garbage too.
October 18th, 2012 at 4:00 PM
Well, case in point I guess.
October 18th, 2012 at 4:01 PM
Morris against the Giants. They really haven’t been good against the run. 9ers should have kept feeding Gore last weekend.
October 18th, 2012 at 4:03 PM
My other one is Crabtree tonight or Brown at Cincy?
October 18th, 2012 at 4:04 PM
Mostly yes, but they do have a top 10 LT who rendered Jared Allen meaningless last week.
October 18th, 2012 at 4:06 PM
I’d go Ridley. This is from twitter, “@evansilva: Rex Ryan has previously shown tendency to drop 7-8 into coverage vs Brady & #Patriots. Law Firm went off. Imagine what Ridley could do.”
October 18th, 2012 at 4:27 PM
Good defense last year, and just enough offense from Rex to get it done. Skins defense is some doo doo. 38-13 Big Blue.
