Nike Dropped Lance Armstrong
Lance Armstrong, the colossal cycling fraud, has been dropped by NIKE, the company announced this morning.
Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him. Nike does not condone the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs in any manner.
Nike plans to continue support of the Livestrong initiatives created to unite, inspire and empower people affected by cancer.
Only those with their head in the sand didn’t see this coming. Armstrong has been resolute for years about his pee being clean, but he’s now left with one option: Grovel. I anticipate hours upon hours of TV time spent today crucifying Armstrong, but who really cares? Really, who cares?
He cheated, he won, he denied cheating, all his “friends” ratted him out, and … oh, it looks like NBA TV is re-airing the Charlotte-Oklahoma City preseason game from last night, so I’ve gotta run.

Can’t wait for two or three videos of unimpressive dunks on this site later in the day from that game.

Matthew McConaughey has dropped Lance Armstrong from taking his shirt off with him.

By all accounts, this guy is a massive prick. So fuck him.

the colossal cycling fraud,
Armstrong just got branded with the scarlet F!
No wonder he resigned from Liestrong yesterday. Nike propped that up while he was soliciting donations for research that did not go for research.

His net worth is something like $125 million. At what point does he just tell the world to fuck off?

makes sense considering lance armstrong dropped his career.

Tour de France ratings jumped big this year, fwiw.
October 17th, 2012 at 9:42 AM

You, of all people, knows how media consumption works. If nobody cares, why did you bother doing a post about this.

He’s basically been doing that for the past five years.

As long as he keeps cranking out those badass Michelob Ultra commercials, he’ll be fine.
/But I won’t quit! ‘Cause I want more!

Yep, he has a house in Texas, house in COlorado and is building one in Hawaii. He doesn’t care, he’s made his millions off of this and now he will just fade out of the public spotlight.

I always enjoyed seeing people in bars smoking cigarettes while wearing a livestrong bracelet.

I still cannot find what episode it was but during the Linsanity nightmare of 2012 I kept trying to find the episode where the Korean kid’s parents won’t let him play because they want him to learn how to run the family convenience store instead, until Coach Coop convinces them to come watch him practice and he just nails three after three after three. I imagine that happens with every azn that plays basketball.

Nike is shocked, SHOCKED, that Lance was cheating. Oh, Nike.

I feel like you forget you run this site sometimes. Usually you don’t do posts on things you don’t care about. Such as, the MLB playoffs once the Yankees start scuffling.

Still trying to make that happen I see….

Sheryl Crow’s 2nd album was very good. In her prime, top 5 set of legs.

For the longest time, Nike always referred themselves as NIKE (all caps) in every self-published PR release, financial statement, etc. Good to see they finally realized that was ridiculous.
October 17th, 2012 at 10:14 AM
How great was it to be an ugly lead singer of mediocre 90′s bands? The Soul Asylum guy was banging Winona Ryder, the black crows guy had Kate Hudson and the counting crows dude somehow got Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston.

The Livestrong Nike line was hugely successful.

+ Many millions of dollars raised that did not go to cancer research.

MLB’s World Series ticket purchasing system can eat a bag of dicks.

Any truth to what I heard on radio yesterday that he funds all legal expenses out of dollars raised for cancer?

Any truth to what I heard on radio yesterday that he funds all legal expenses out of dollars raised for cancer? Angry
Ooh, I would seriously doubt that. Liestrong is a non-profit and I don’t think that funding Armstrong’s personal legal issues would be remotely legal.
October 17th, 2012 at 10:27 AM
I heard he actually funds Cancer. It may seem circular, but if no one funded Cancer, what would the Cancer Awareness people have to do? Just keep that on the down-low.
October 17th, 2012 at 10:29 AM
Chatter.

If there were no crack babies, who would adopt crack babies?
If there were no drugs, who would fight the War on Drugs?
If there no BCS, would Duffy have an issue to beat into the ground?

So you don’t care, yet you found the time to round up your thoughts on the matter? Not to mention the links thrown in for good measure; 3 of which showing us previously how much you don’t care. Got it.

The fact that multimillionaire Lance Armstrong drinks Miller Lite, as evidenced by tye picture above, disgusts me more than anything else.
October 17th, 2012 at 11:48 AM
Kate Hudson and Cheryl Crow. Between the two of them, I don’t think they would fill a B cup.
I guess when you lose one of your balls, your pick in women with figures declines substantially.

A change (a change) could do him good.
Mind, blown.
