Alameda Ta’amu Suspended 2 Games For DUI, Assault, Fleeing Police
Alameda Ta’amu was arrested early Sunday morning for a whole bunch of fun stuff including, “three felony counts of aggravated assault, a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and a felony count of aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence.” Today, the NFL suspended the Pittsburgh Steelers rookie defensive tackle for two games. You would think after that kind of ride and arrest (a cop punched him in the face) the NFL would take the opportunity to make an example of the rookie who has yet to appear in a game this season, but they have to be ready in the eventuality that a star player does something similar.

Well, it’s not like he ran a bounty program or lied to the commissioner. Then he’d be in serious trouble.

Why wasn’t Marshawn Lynch ever suspended?

The more I see the suspensions handed out for various infractions, the more I believe Goodell just pulls a number out of a hat.

Triple threat players like this are hard to find. Who is the official handcuff provider for the NFL?

amazing this shit doesn;t happen more considering the sample demographic of NFL and major college players. jacked up, roided up, encouraged to maim, surrounded by others who are encouraged to maim

He was suspended by the team, not the league

Meanwhile, the NCAA stands eagerly on the sidelines, waiting to weigh in on yet another area over which it has no jurisdiction.
