Peyton Manning’s Monday Night Comeback, Version 2.0: Down 24 at Half to 35-24 Denver Win
The greatest Monday Night comeback ever came back in 2003, with Jon Gruden looking on from the sidelines in Tampa Bay, as Manning brought the Colts back from 21 points down in the fourth quarter.
Now, the Broncos just became the sixth team since World War II, and the first since the Buffalo Bills against the Oilers in January of 1993, to win a game when trailing by 24 or more at the half. Philip Rivers had four five turnovers, including a fumble return for touchdown and an interception return for touchdown to aid the comeback.
Denver also stopped fumbling the ball on special teams and taking it out of Manning’s hands, and stopped tripping on sure touchdowns. Instead, it was Manning surgically carving the Chargers defense up in the second half. Manning completed 80% of his passes (24 of 30) for 309 yards and 3 second half touchdown passes.

Norv Turner should be fired tonight. He continues to coach this team into underachievement. No he can’t be blamed for Rivers turnovers but he can be blamed for calling pass play after pass play when you have a heck of a RB who is more than capable of burning some clock.
Matthews 15 carries in the 1st Half and 7 in the 2nd. Norv Turner is a dumpster fire.

Umm…looks like someone is forgetting the “Monday Night Miracle” back in 2000. Miami was up 30-7 entering the fourth quarter in that game.

the, I liked the Jets and hated the Dolphins, and I stayed up and got rewarded. Jumbo Elliot caught a touchdown in that game.

The Colts-Bucs game was the better comeback, they were down 21 with 5 minutes left. Plus the Bucs were defending champs and had that great defense (Sapp/Brooks/Lynch etc)
