a source says Bill Simmons favored Rose over the former Pistons point guard. A source said Simmons thought the Isiah-Magic pair might bore viewers to tears and overburden the set with two uncomfortable on camera former stars, and he favored Rose, the former Fab 5 star who actually is good on television.

Will it be of the esoteric, bullshit variety? Such as….I like the Celtics in this series because their fans know how to win….or Lebron is playing great because of Kobe’s influence from the Olympics….or will he actually have basketball related observations.

Stating the obvious – they should have swapped Magic for Rose.

Although Magic is amusingly bad.

I’ll watch out of curiosity to see what Simmons adds. Will it be of the esoteric, bullshit variety?
