Raul Ibanez Does It Again, Homers to Tie the Game in Bottom of the Ninth Against Detroit
Raul Freaking Ibanez has done it again. He came off the bench two nights ago for Alex Rodriguez, to provide the tying and winning home runs to help get the Yankees to the ALCS. Then, tonight, the Yankees did nothing offensively for eight innings, getting shutout going to the bottom of the ninth, 4-0.
Age and experience continues to come through for the Yankees, though. First it was Ichiro delivering a two run shot to provide hope, then Ibanez tying it with two outs on a drive to right field. Unbelievable week for Ibanez.

As Detroit’s closer, Valverde has allowed his team’s last seven runs spanning the last three games. Will that be his last appearance?

My greatest wish is to live long enough to kick Papa Grande’s grandkids square in the balls.
