ESPN Ohio Radio Host Wishes Desmond Howard Would “Get Fired or Die” So He Could Watch GameDay Again
I wish Desmond Howard would get fired or die so I can watch Gameday again
— the torg (@myguythetorg) October 13, 2012
Scott Torgerson is the co-host of sports radio talk show, Common Man and The Torg, on 97.1 The Fan in Ohio. Torgerson – a.k.a. “The Torg” – is obviously not a fan of Desmond Howard. Maybe he dislikes Howard’s hot sports takes or maybe it is just the fact that he’s a Michigan man and Torg is a fan of “Buckeye football and hoops.” Either way, strong words. And The Torg should get some credit for admitting he would settle for Howard simply getting fired. Hope they don’t see each other at any of the upcoming ESPN holiday parties.

In fairness game day is unwatchable because of ass hats like Howard. I listen to the torg everyday on the drive home and he is a good radio guy with good original thoughts. I would rather listen to him for a year than for Howard for a minute.

Is wishing someone dead a crime on the ‘Net? Or, is there some special “sports talk exemption” that I don’t know about?
If I wished someone was dead on here, I think I’d be hosting the FBI for guac & chips, with a side order of “taken into custody”.
/semi-serious question

Not in this case because he is just wishing that he would die. He is not making a threat towards him.

Doc, thanks for clarifying. Gotta have boundaries, ya know?

That’s a party I’d like to never attend.

You could just tell them the guac and chips were for you, and there’s a nice steamin’ bowl of shut the fuck up waiting for them in the kitchen.

Oh yea it is completely ridiculous that anybody wishes that any sports figure should die over a game. That is the problem with all the social media these days every idiot can make a comment.

The perp walk with guac stains on my shirt would be an impressive GIF, dont’cha think?

If you’re going to go into custody for everything, make sure it’s because you introduced that cock-blocking security guard’s face to the concrete.

Ha!
You do know I’m a black guy, right? I could get shackled just for GP in this nation…lol

You do know I’m a black guy, right?
I do. I heard it on the police scanner when a lady called 911 frantically screaming some a big burly dark fellow was chasing after a security guard screaming, “Get back here!”
I could get shackled just for GP
What’s GP?

“General Principles”. Old slang, especially in the South in the old days. Arrest a brotha, and “that’s one less on the street we gotta arrest later. Maybe he isn’t guilty now, but just wait. We’ll think of something.”.

Maybe he isn’t guilty now, but just wait.
Sorry man. I laughed at that. Want to hear a funny story about Del State?
October 13th, 2012 at 7:07 PM
Bring it. I’m sitting down.
October 13th, 2012 at 7:08 PM
I know I brought this up a long time ago, but I don’t think you were around. I was working for this insulation company a while back, and we were working in one of the boiler rooms at Del State (a historically black university). The first day we were working there our boss came up to us on our lunch break and asked if we wanted to play a game. We asked him what it was and he said, “Where’s Whitey?”
October 13th, 2012 at 7:11 PM
I think it was just because it was so random and he had this dead serious look on his face when he said it. I about shit.
October 13th, 2012 at 7:12 PM
Whoops, sorry. Now, I’m laughing. Blushing, hanging my head, and imagining how that all went down.
And, you know if the races were reversed, Al Sharpton would be in that boiler room on the PDQ, in front of CNN cameras, talking stuff.
