Thursday Night Football: Big Ben Chases All-Time Steelers Passing Mark Against the Titans
Ben Roethlisberger could set the Pittsburgh Steelers all-time passing yardage mark tonight against Tennessee, needing 287 yards. He will do so without the blessing of Terry Bradshaw, because as Jamison Hensley notes, the two are not on speaking terms. It apparently arises out of some comments that Bradshaw made after Big Ben’s motorcycle injury, but the two men who account for all six Pittsburgh titles at quarterback do not seem to like each other.
How likely is it that Ben passes Bradshaw tonight? Tennessee is dead last in points allowed per game this year, and is surrendering 279.6 passing yards per game, just below the mark needed. Pittsburgh should have plays available and it may just depend on whether Matt Hasselbeck plays better and the Tennessee offense forces Pittsburgh to be aggressive. Hasselbeck has looked pretty bad since coming in to replace the injured Jake Locker. He does probably get Kenny Britt for more extended snaps this week, and Troy Polamalu will be out again after coming back for last Sunday’s game. Lamarr Woodley is also out for this game.
The Line: Pittsburgh by 6
The Pick: Tennessee (+6) to keep it close at home, 24-20 Pittsburgh

Those are stat lines even a Madden pro could be proud of.

there is such a great difference between the two QB’s who rode their defenses to championships.

I got into it on a Comedy Central weekend. I was sick and laying on the sofa in the basement. Acquired taste or hate it. It is pretty ridiculous. Which is in my wheelhouse. I compare it to South Park. Either people will hate or love it and even the people that hate it will acknowledge there are some damn good episodes. As far as South Park, I fall into the hate it but can agree there are good episodes. As far as Sunny, it is Thursday night and the weekend starts tomorrow. I don’t watch a lot of non-game tv, but this makes me happy. So does Justified. Which isn’t on now.

Steelers have 4 1st downs with 2 mins left in the half?
Also, the VP debate is pretty awesome. I can’t wait for the video compilation of Joe Biden laughing

Steelers cant get any pressure, even with the blitz, they’re terrible. No Woodley/Polamalu, James Harrison hasn’t made a play yet this year.
They’ve made Carson Palmer and Hasselbald look like Brady and Manning.

Hasselbald
Nice. I saw his picture on those introductions they do before the game and I couldn’t get over the striking resemblance of him to the guy that played in Powder.
