University of Virginia’s New Football Facility Caught on Fire
All, College Football October 8th. 2012, 4:30pm
The roof of Virginia’s football indoor practice facility (under construction) caught on fire. It started around 12:35pm. No injuries have been reported. We won’t make any jokes about how this is a metaphor for the Cavaliers’ season after four-straight losses and a fortunate escape at home to Penn State. [Photos via @UVA_Football]

Saw this was happening. I work within sight of the smoke. Pretty absurd.
Also yes this is a beautiful metaphor for our miserable football team. But hey, at least we might be able to beat Maryland this week.

Actually, this was a media event to introduce the new Cavs fight song:
The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!
We don’t need no water—Let the motherfucker burn!
Burn, motherfucker, burn!
October 8th, 2012 at 4:39 PM
wouldnt a better metaphor for UVA football be a tree falling in the forest with nobody around?
October 8th, 2012 at 4:40 PM

But I’d like to point out that I have no plans to pay for any additional football tickets this season. Homecoming is enough.

geoff…if it makes you feel any better, the browns are a lower equivalent to a CFB team than UVA. the browns are like…a directional school in one of the poor states. UVA’s at least got badass unis.

October 8th, 2012 at 4:46 PM
He needed the Crimson Tide to tell him not to get hammered and hit on Howard Stern’s wife on a celebrity poker TV show. That was quality TV.
