On the off-chance some of you don’t follow Deadspin, or haven’t seen if this was dropped earlier… but tOSU band is freaking awesome. One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen, and the crowd goes crazy.

Take it from someone who was there, it was badass. OSU’s director of band retired last year. The guy that took over was his assistant for several years. Evidently, he was just waiting to get the gig. The dude has put together unreal halftime shows. OSU’s band (TBDBITL) was always popular, but NO ONE leaves at halftime now. And Saturday’s show with the video game tribute and the kicking horse was awesome.

my english teacher in HS was the mascot for Minnesota in the late 80′s early 90′s. when they played tOSU, the band and tOUS mascot started a fight between the bands. tOSU mascot took the buckeye, or whatever stick he has, and cracked my english teacher over the head. i haven’t looked at a band or mascot the same way knowing their propensity for violence.
