NFL Sunday Football: Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, First Time, Long Time
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will be on the field together for the first time since the 2010 season, though things obviously look a lot different than those Colts and Patriots showdowns that were keystones of the last decade. Many of the most notable games, from the fourth and two game to the playoff game in New England in January of 2003, to the goal line stand to open the 2004 season, have featured these two quarterbacks.
That game is set for 4:25 eastern time, though, so here are your other matchups as you await that one.
Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia: The Keystone State battle features the return of Troy Polamalu and James Harrison, along with Rashard Mendenhall, so we’ll see if the Steelers look better after the bye week.
Kansas City vs. Baltimore: Matt Cassel is under siege, as is GM Scott Pioli, as a banner even flew over the stadium asking to fire Pioli and bench Cassel. We’ll see if the Chiefs respond by showing up in a home game as an underdog.
NY Giants vs. Cleveland: Hakeem Nicks is still out, so it will be Hixon and Cruz going against the Browns in their final game without Joe Haden.
Indianapolis vs. Green Bay: Ghosts of a trip back in 1997 when Paul Justin led the Colts to an upset victory?
Washington vs. Atlanta: Matt Ryan has been tearing it up and now gets one of the worst pass defenses in the league? Doesn’t seem fair. Robert Griffin and the Washington offense will need to keep up, and not turn the ball over (an Atlanta specialty early in the year)
Miami at Cincinnati: Brian Hartline looks to follow up his big game, though Leon Hall is back for Cincinnati.
Other 4 PM Games:
Buffalo at San Francisco
Tennessee at Minnesota
Chicago at Jacksonville
Seattle at Carolina

The AP put WVU in the top five? COME ON.
if WVU won two games in a row by a combined 10 points but the scores were 3-0 and 7-0, where do you think they would be ranked?
Answer honestly.

Spence just got a little hard.
October 7th, 2012 at 1:19 PM
Brandon Weeden ON A BITCH
October 7th, 2012 at 1:19 PM
Now Spence has a full blown stiffy.
October 7th, 2012 at 1:20 PM
It’s clear the Browns are now fixed and Super Bowl bound.
October 7th, 2012 at 1:20 PM
Weeden td pass!!!
October 7th, 2012 at 1:28 PM
Vick just isn’t a good QB.
October 7th, 2012 at 1:34 PM
Tom Coughlin giving death stares all over the place
October 7th, 2012 at 1:35 PM
Steelers are sloppy
October 7th, 2012 at 1:41 PM
Trent Richardson is damned good. Too bad he’s stuck with Cleveland.
October 7th, 2012 at 1:42 PM
Richardson may get 100 rush and receiving today
October 7th, 2012 at 1:43 PM
Now Spence has a full blown stiffy.
Did Nickelback perform national anthem before one of the games?
October 7th, 2012 at 1:46 PM
not the best start for Mr. Vick.
October 7th, 2012 at 1:46 PM
Giants look like garbage
October 7th, 2012 at 1:47 PM
Steelers look terrible
October 7th, 2012 at 1:53 PM
Understatement. Thankfully Philly looks just as bad.
October 7th, 2012 at 1:54 PM
Can we get the replacement refs back, this crew in pitt is a shitshow.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:03 PM
Does anyone want to win the NFC east? Goodness
October 7th, 2012 at 2:06 PM
I wish buffalo had a GM and scouts as good as Jerry Reese and his crew for the Giants. They find wide receivers like they are apple picking. Incredible depth
October 7th, 2012 at 2:07 PM
Now Spence has a full blown stiffy.
Did Nickelback perform national anthem before one of the games?
Creed is Spencer’s favorite non-Frank Zappa band.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:09 PM
Jamaal Charles deserves to be on a better team with a better QB. Guy is going off today and Cassel still sucks
October 7th, 2012 at 2:11 PM
Trent Richardson is a strong, strong man.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:12 PM
Weeden bad int there
October 7th, 2012 at 2:13 PM
NFL lineman are popping off Richardson like Pop Warner players. So Pat Shurmur calls a pass on 3rd and 1. FUCK YOU SHURMUR.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:15 PM
That play was all Brad Childress, scripty, I guarantee you
October 7th, 2012 at 2:15 PM
Philly’s O-line may be worse than Pittsburgh’s.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:16 PM
Shurmur and Weeden are meant for each other. Both make it seem like they have things together until they rise up for their retardation moment. POW SURPRISE.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:16 PM
That play was all Brad Childress, scripty, I guarantee you
/face in both hands, weeping.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:17 PM
Not gonna lie, i am interested in seeing the Alex Cross movie. I want to see how Tyler Perry does in a thriller. Enough of that Madea nonsense. I used to read James Patterson books a lot so it will be interesting to see perry in the title role.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:18 PM
And just like that, any and all Cleveland momentum has disappeared. That was fast.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:18 PM
No surprise that the browns defense is rough..Dick Jauron is the DC! Buffalo laughs at cleveland!
/sees Wannstedt in Buffalo booth
//cries
October 7th, 2012 at 2:18 PM
Cribbs felt playing in New York he had to do a Tiki Barber impersonation. Definitive Loaf of bread display.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:19 PM
Cleveland will lose and still score more points at MetLife stadium than the jets will this weekend.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:20 PM
Oakland 2 Detroit 1, bottom 7th
October 7th, 2012 at 2:20 PM
Mediocre redskins defense stepping up to make ATL look bad so far
October 7th, 2012 at 2:21 PM
The Packers are just fucking with FF players right now. Kuhn, Cobb and James Jones?
October 7th, 2012 at 2:22 PM
If the Chiefs had a QB, theyd be up big on Baltimore right now. KC just running all over that overrated Baltimore defense
October 7th, 2012 at 2:24 PM
It would be a total /wankfest if NE lost today and the entire AFC east was 2-3. Miami looking decent against Cincy. I have no hope in Buffalo and NYJ winning their games.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:24 PM
Joe Haden, go eat a shitburger. Thanks for bailing on the team asshole.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:25 PM
3-2 tigers..damnit
October 7th, 2012 at 2:25 PM
Remember when the Browns were up 14-0? Yeeeeesh
October 7th, 2012 at 2:25 PM
Terry francona to the Browns
October 7th, 2012 at 2:26 PM
Dierdorf is awful.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:26 PM
Let the genius of Shurmur and Childress shine. 3rd and 1 – pass. 3rd and 20? It’ll be a run.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:27 PM
Games on mute, music playing. Thats how i watch most sporting events.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:28 PM
COCO BABY!
October 7th, 2012 at 2:28 PM
Richardson is still fighting for yardage, the OL has given up presuming he’s already been tackled.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:32 PM
Not sure what Philly has to do to actually get called for pass interference. Killing pitt receivers.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:33 PM
If Philly somehow wins, they will be the fraudiest 4-1 team I can remember
October 7th, 2012 at 2:36 PM
Weeze, sadly my bills last year were a fraudy 4-1.
/dulls the pain
October 7th, 2012 at 2:38 PM
Attaboy detroit pitcher and catcher! Wild pitch! Tie game!
October 7th, 2012 at 2:38 PM
Josh reddick!!!! Hell yes.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:39 PM
Detroit lions defense and the tigers bullpen must be best friends
/wanking
October 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
My opponent in my work league of course played Jones this week (and he has Rodgers) – double screwed me.
/dulls pain by collecting on Packers >14 points in the first half bet.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
Good managing Leyland.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
That Bills team could beat this year’s Eagles
October 7th, 2012 at 2:45 PM
Yeah – it’s been pretty bad. But Corrente’s crew has a history of shitty officiating in Pittsburgh.
/cues tape from Oakland game a few years ago.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:46 PM
Steelers vs Titans this thursday? Awful
October 7th, 2012 at 2:47 PM
Weeze, they beat the eagles last year. 4 INTs from vick including at least one pick-six. I do take back what i said a few weeks back. The vikings this year could definitely beat the bills.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:48 PM
I swear to God, Delmon Young has put on like 35 pounds since he left the Twins.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:50 PM
Totally forgot about that, that was a fun game. Fuck the Iggles
October 7th, 2012 at 2:51 PM
If the bills manage to get 17 points against SF today, ill be happy.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:56 PM
I was totally wrong about Reggie Bush. If he keeps this up, people will swing the other way (again) on the 2006 NFL Draft.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:57 PM
so much more fun when the Browns were up 14-0. Now down 10. just had to go on 4th and 1 from on 37. Got it, but had to punt soon after.
October 7th, 2012 at 2:58 PM
Now the tigers tie it up on a wild pitch. Damnit
October 7th, 2012 at 3:00 PM
God dammit Browns. Leyland is garbage too.
October 7th, 2012 at 3:01 PM
Tackling is now illegal in Pittsburgh.
October 7th, 2012 at 3:06 PM
What penalty was called now?
October 7th, 2012 at 3:06 PM
Do you what sucks? Going against Victor Cruz in fantasy today.
October 7th, 2012 at 3:12 PM
How do you rush for like 150 yards and only have 3 points? I assume the answer is Matt Cassel.
October 7th, 2012 at 3:13 PM
Ding ding ding..winner.. Plus the coach is Romeo
October 7th, 2012 at 3:15 PM
Dolphins looking solid
