If (as Lisk reports) top QBs get a TD in 90-95% of their games, the chance of having a TD in 48 straight games is approx
92.5^48 = 0.023
So a top QB who plays 48 games, he has a 2.3% chance to get the record.
The impressiveness really requires it to be consecutive starts… since very few QBs play 50 straight games. I’d be more impressed by 50 straight games than having TD’s in those 50, but I don’t think the record is quite as insignificant as Lisk would have you believe.
