Notre Dame Quaterback Everett Golson Violated Team Rules and Will Not Start Tonight
According to multiple outlets on Twitter, promising Notre Dame quarterback Evertt Golson will not get the start against Miami at Soldier Field tonight due to a violation of team rules. In his place will of course be the great Tommy Rees, an embattled player to say the least, and one probably known best for having a brawling sister and for failing to evade police. The only question is whether or not Tommy will wait to get to the red zone before turning the ball over.
Hopefully we don’t have to learn the answer to that question. Fans of the Irish will be crossing their fingers that Golson will see immediate action off the bench, because he will play, he’s just not starting.

Weak. Better not impact covering 12.5!
Also, Texas/WVu is very very fun already

So did he kill someone or cover up a rape?

Big Game Richt strikes again.

So did he kill someone or cover up a rape? Soused
I don’t know, but has to be worse than killing someone via scissor lift.
October 6th, 2012 at 7:44 PM
Rees was great in win of Michigan. Golson would have continued to give that damn game away.
October 6th, 2012 at 7:45 PM
Another playoff start, another Verlander mediocre start. What’s his problem dammit. It’s the fucking Athletics.

Cackalacky dongslappin UGA. Fantastic

Better lineup than Boston has chucko.

Brian kelly..that disciplinarian…..
October 6th, 2012 at 7:53 PM
At the moment? Yes. No doubt.
October 6th, 2012 at 7:55 PM
Y’all trading for Mauer? The Tribe have a solid core with Kipnis, Droobs, Santana, Choo and Brantley. Chiz has to stay healthy a full season. Choo will be traded next season and Droobs will be dealt in the next couple years when Lindor is ready.

Deadspin had one yesterday on that. Spencer was moved to tears.

I just ate a awesome bowl of potato soup my wife made and I am full, so I don’t need a free sandwich. However, Holy Shit, Shut the Fuck Up, Gus Johnson. This game isn’t about you. Fuck.

Got stupendously drunk at a shitty Oktoberfest (no steins or sausage wtf) party in a shit town (Kitchener). Planed on taking a cab home and could not get one to save our lives. Buddy steals one of those Gator carts from the venue and the 4 of us (double date kind of deal) went drunkenly joyriding for an hour. His key just started it, he said you could have stolen it with a quarter. I sat in the back truck part getting soaked and bounced around. We ended up ditching it in the woods and finally taking a cab home. Worst criminals ever listed in chronological order:
He’s on camera stealing the vehicle
Oktoberfest there are dui checkpoints everywhere
Girlfriend took pictures and video of the crime
Drove it through a hospital parking lot also on camera
Had to go to back to the ditched vehicle because she left her phone there
Other girl volunteered our names and venue we came from to the cab driver
Guy insisted on drunkenly driving it back and apologizing
Next morning he drove it back and found his girl’s purse in the Gator
Returned it no one was there
As of now that’s the end of it, note that we are all in our late twenties.

It wasn’t until my kid was born when I was 32 when the type of stories you just recited waned for me. As always, Thank God phones with cameras weren’t widespread back in the day.

A few years ago there was some people around here that got arrested for breaking into their neighbor’s house that lived down the street. Problem for them was, it was middle of winter with snow on the ground. Cops saw footprints going from their house to the victim’s house, from the victim’s house back to their house, along with all the stolen shit in their house. Case. Fucking. Closed.
October 6th, 2012 at 8:36 PM
Cant imagine how Neshek feels out there on the mound after losing his newborn son earlier this week. Heartbreaking
October 6th, 2012 at 8:37 PM
I agree. Can’t believe he’d be out there already. Wasn’t that just 2-3 days ago?
October 6th, 2012 at 8:39 PM
A.P., I thought that too. And, it’s gotta be tough being away from his wife knowing she too is heartbroken.
Real life sucks sometimes. Just 23 hours? Manoman.
October 6th, 2012 at 8:47 PM
Moss was so close to a homer.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:28 PM
1 run, 3 hits and 11 Ks in 7 innings is mediocre. Vlad is the best.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:36 PM
This the baseball post?
October 6th, 2012 at 9:37 PM
He was pitching poorly when I made that comment. And he has history of poor postseason performances. For the record, I love Verlander. But seriously fuck the refs in the OSU/NEB game.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:39 PM
That play with the NEB grabbing every OSU DB facemask, was interesting.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:41 PM
Hey you never know. I think like last year (?) Halladay gave up a triple on the first play vs STL in that elimination game, the guy came in to score, and then Carpenter pitched that insane game and the 1 run stood up. It’s perfectly okay to overreact to shit like that in a playoff MLB game.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:43 PM
If Tito can get the purse-strings opened up to allow him to improve his pitching coaches, that’s 10 wins right there. Radinsky was fucking over his head. Masterson should be closer to 20 wins than 10 wins. Acta not being able to get Masterson’s delivery ironed out was a profound failure.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:47 PM
nice play by that NEB OL to get on that ball.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:48 PM
Buckeye D is in Martinez head.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:48 PM
The refs are awful Scripty. Tribe need a a RH bat or two.
October 6th, 2012 at 9:53 PM
I am a bit confounded by the Francona hire. It was a decent get. I just have no faith in Antonetti and Dolan, and I am a huge baseball fan. I pretty much have my Tribe interest on the shelf til 4/1/13. I can’t wait for the Cavs season to see them. You’re Pistons though for NBA right Vlad?
October 6th, 2012 at 9:56 PM
Holy shit this
OSU offenseBraxton Miller is electric.October 6th, 2012 at 9:56 PM
Ya, I root for the Cavs though. Both teams are garbage. Braxton YES!
October 6th, 2012 at 9:58 PM
Its the Urb teams we know – disregard for defense
October 6th, 2012 at 9:58 PM
went to a kids birthday party today with all three little ones and the parents had amstel wheat. didn;t kow amstel had a wheat. not bad and of course much better because it was unexpected
also, took the 5yo boy to see paranorman. solid flick
October 6th, 2012 at 10:00 PM
Georgia – fraudy fraud fraud
October 6th, 2012 at 10:00 PM
Bo Pelini is a terrible coach.
OSU offense is mind numbing, QB run left, QB run right.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:02 PM
You’ll eat your words when OSU has an SEC D in ’13 and ’14. OSU lacks depth right now. When the freshman and new recruits come in it will be NASTY AS FUCK. DOMINATION BABY.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:03 PM
If Urb doesn’t come out for the OSU job then Pelini would have been a frontrunner for that.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:04 PM
Which type of SEC D? The shitty ones on arkansas, georgia, tennessee, etc.. Or a bama/cackalacky defense?
Im just waiting for the arrest numbers to increase
October 6th, 2012 at 10:05 PM
Cueto left game with back injury after one batter..not good for cincy
October 6th, 2012 at 10:07 PM
Probably be more like a Texas defense. Tons of talent miscoached by Fickell.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:07 PM
LSU/FLA caliber. A Bama D needs a lot of money and cheating.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:13 PM
Money? OSU has plenty to give..cheating? Hmm..urban wins at all costs…
/ignores arrest after arrest
//quits when shit hits the fan

October 6th, 2012 at 10:14 PM
Now i am impressed with notre dame. Just dismantling Miami who has a good offense.
/kiss my ass, mole
October 6th, 2012 at 10:17 PM
Two things that OSU can’t provide? I thought that was what they were known for.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:21 PM
Ah – what a day! Great game/result in Happy Valley. And I’m on a 9-1-2 roll today gambling.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:23 PM
Whats this offense thing they are doing in state college?
/jay paterno’d
October 6th, 2012 at 10:25 PM
That’s Michigan.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:28 PM
And I’m on a 9-1-2 roll today gambling.
I’m going to need you to roll some of that good luck this way for tomorrow.
He’s makin’ his picks
And checkin’ them twice
Hopin’ come tomorrow
That his wallet feels nice
I’d put in the part about Santa Clause coming to town, but lately I think Santa’s been taking a detour.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:29 PM
I think my big play tomorrow will be a moneyline parlay of GB and SF.
Also like SD +4 and BAL -6.5
October 6th, 2012 at 10:32 PM
Also like SD +4 and BAL -6.5
Are those actual Vegas spreads? The spreads I get on the cards here never match what they post here. I know I can bet “Vegas-style” if I actually hang out at the casino when I make my picks, but I just get the cards and take them home to ponder and fill out.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:32 PM
I’m happy for the WVU people. They went and did Texas. All that “they ain’t seen a defense like Texas” banter can go get fucked.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:33 PM
That was the big talk at our tailgate afterward. Under the old regime – the game would have been over at 28-17. And the other weird thing was that none of us thought McGloin played well at all (throws were not very accurate, even though they were complete). Then we found out he set the school record for completions.
Against ranked teams, this was PSU’s first 4th quarter comeback from down more than 7 points since 1994.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:34 PM
Those are the Bovada spreads.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:35 PM
Texas needs to kick the FG now.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:36 PM
Lets go Reds!
October 6th, 2012 at 10:37 PM
That brunette they showed after that long catch to the TE was a smokeshow.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:42 PM
Is that electrical tape on the Oregon unis?
October 6th, 2012 at 10:42 PM
I’d love to see those moonshiners take the Big Eight/SWC this year.
October 6th, 2012 at 10:44 PM
broken ankles all over the Horseshoe turf on that runback
October 6th, 2012 at 10:44 PM
Typical UGA season. Loaded with NFL talent and can’t win a big game.

Nice kick Fera. And for the record McGloin has more rushing tds than Silas Redd.

October 6th, 2012 at 10:46 PM
McGloin for Governor!
October 6th, 2012 at 10:48 PM
somebody call Cleet and Starkweather tomorrow. Make sure they are alive.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:01 PM
Last 5 years, who’s shit the bed more in bed games, Nebraska or Georgia? Both have all too often.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:08 PM
To be fair to silas redd, id rather spend a year in southern california over central PA
October 6th, 2012 at 11:14 PM
NEB is overmatched but this is the worst tackling performance from a NEB team I’ve seen in a while. Whenever an OSU player gets to the 2nd level a TD is in play since the LB and DB cant tackle for shit.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:15 PM
Yeah, Oregon just returned a pick-six..21-0..game over..
October 6th, 2012 at 11:17 PM
south carolina at LSU next week. That will be interesting
